MCCR Scrapbook Friday - Elephant layout

Today at MCCR it's Scrapbook Friday.. and we were challenged to make a layout using lite Cartridges. I used 9 Months to make this layout.

The elephants, ball and start are all from 9 months Lite. I used textured yellow card stock for the main page.. and light blue for a boarder of the big main pic. These are pictures from my very first Disney trip and above is one of my fav uncles.. he's been gone for about 9 years now and I miss him a lot! Anyway I made this for a page in an album I'm making for my other uncle (the one that took us all there) as a birthday gift.

I've made 3 different cards for the hop today.

For this boat card I used blue card stock and light blue card stock. I cut the boat inside the circle shape from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cart. I added some blue stickles to the main card base and put the boat cut out on top of it with pop dots.

For this this Get Whale card I used purple card stock and some patterned purple paper from DCWV's basics stack. I cut the whale shape from the Just Because Cards Cricut cart. I put it on the card using pop dots and inked the edges of the papers.

For this It's a Girl card I used pink card stock and pink patterned polk-a-dot paper from the paper studio. I cut the onesie from the 9 months lite cartridge and put it on pop dots.

CWC #95 Buttons or Brads

This week the CWC challenge is to make a project with buttons or brads. So come on over and join in our fun!

For my project I made this layout using the following carts: 9 months & Imagine Nursery tails

Pretty simple layout all the papers are DCWV. I followed a scrapbook sketch to make this layout. Both pics are 4x6 and this page was made for a scrapbook thats being maid for my Mother in laws 50th birthday gift. Each person was supposed to make a 2 page layout.. I made 2 different 2 pages layouts one set from each of my girls.

The "it's a girl" cut is from Nursery Tails imagine cart.

And the buttons both the shinny round purple one and the purple heart one are from my stash. I tied a bow on the round button with purple bakers twine.

I used a white gel pen to stitch around the purple papers.

The title is cut from the 9 months cart.

I hope you'll consider joining in the fun this week over at Cooking With Cricut.

CWC Cartridge Showcase - 9 months

Hey everybody.. today I am doing the Cartridge Showcase over at Cooking With Cricut. I have chose to showcase Cricut Lite 9 Months. This cartridge is just adorable! I love this cartridge. Now this cartridge mainly has cuts for pregnancy and I probably wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't just recenly have 2 babies (one 2 years old and the other 6 months old).

But you can make lots of stuff with this cartridge.. scrapbook pages, cards, mini albums, all sorts of gifts for someone having a baby.. This cart does have a few cuts that are kind of general and don't even need to be used as baby related including a bird, a bee, different foods, soda, car, suit case, hello my name is tag, elephant, catapillar & more.

Now this is a lite cartridge so it only has 4 different features, but its still adorable! This cartridge is sold at Walmart, Cricut.com & ebay.

Here are some of the projects I've made witht his cartridge...

My Pregnancy scrapbook layout.. I made this with just the title cut, bakers twine and some photo mats very easy to make page that turned out super cute.

Ultrasounds 2 page scrapbook layout.. I cut the ultrasound title in white on both layers and then colored it with black chalk and rubbed it with my fingers to make it look kinda like an ultrasound. some thing witht he little ultrasound image cut. Added some patterned black and white paper for the photo mats. I wanted everything on this 2 page layout to be black, white and gray to match the ultrasounds.

Onesies layout.. I cut some onesies and used them as stencils and sprayed purple card stock with some wine berry glimmer mist. then I took the onesies that I used as stencils and used them as embellishments with pop dots to make them stand out a bit. I used patterned paper to make the mats.

Umbrella layout.. this is a layout for pics of my daughter in the rain with a yellow umbrella. For this I used some of the umbrella cuts and inked over them with yellow ink on the yellow paper making a background of umbrellas on the yellow page. Then I used pop dots and put down the umbrellas and added white stitching on them with a gel pen. The title and raindrops were madeI with white puff paint.

And of course we couldn't forget the most adorable thing I've made so far.. These shirts. First I cut out some plain brown cotton fabric and some Wonder Under. I ironed the Wonder Under to the fabric by following the directions on the Wonder Under. Then I put the fabric & Wonder Under on a fresh mat and used my Gypsy to make sure I had the cuts in the right spot.. And cut out the little bird thats part of the onesie. I cut 6 total.. 4 smaller and 2 larger. Then I peeled off the paper backing and ironed the fabric to 2 different plain pink onesies & I hand cut the letters.

I put these into my baby girls' Easter baskets :). These were really easy to make it took me maybe 20 mins total from start to finish (not counting cutting out the letters by hand).

I cannot wait to make more pages for my girls' scrapbooks with this cart it's really cute. And perfect for someone who wants to work on anything pregnancy related.

Thanks for checking out my showcase I hope you enjoyed my projects!

Under my umbrella layout

Hey everyone! Today I have a layout I made for some pics I have of Jayden playing in the rain. I haven't got the pics printed yet but I had to make this layout while I was thinking about it. I used the 9 Months lite cartridge and some yellow card stock, yellow chalk ink & white scribbles 3d paint.

I cut the umbrellas at different sizes and used them sort of as stencils to make the background paper.. I put the umbrellas down on the main card stock and inked in different places to make the umbrellas show up and to help the umbrellas stand out since they were cut from the same shade of yellow card stock. I put the umbrellas on pop dots and added white gel pen stitching around them. I then free handed the title ( you can stand under my umbrella) and some rain drops down the side with white scribbles 3d paint.

Simple. Cute. I like it ;)
