Rockaway Beach BoBunny Layout

Hey Everyone,

Tonight I want to share this beach layout I made using the BoBunny Boardwalk collect.

The title is made of the alpha stickers that come in the set. I fussy cut the beach balls from the opposite side of my background paper. I also fussy cut an edge along part of the lighthouse and part of the shells running along the bottom. I then slide part of the picture behind the fussy cut line.

I am entering this layout into the following challenges:
Simon Says - Anything Goes
DL.ART - March Linky
Simon Says - Leap into the unknown (I used a new technique, cutting along the card stock image and sliding my pic behind part of it)
BoBunny - Feb Sketch (I flipped the sketch)

Newport Open Sea 2 Page Layout

Hey everyone,

Today I have a 2 page scrapbook layout to share. One of my favorite ways to use ribbon on a layout is to use it as banners. I used the Dark Mint Lyon Wired Ribbon in 1-1/2 in to make the banner on the top right of the layout. I just cut banner shapes by and out of the ribbon and adhered with ATG tape. I made sure that the tops of the banners had the wired edge to help me bend them into shape to make a curve.

I used the 1-1/2 in Dazzle Grosgrain ribbon in Tropic Blue to line the bottom of my pictures. I also added some over a couple different photos and one of the purple paper edges as photo corners. Over the bottom part of the dazzle ribbon I added a strip of Lavender 7/8 in Double Ruffle Ribbon. For both ribbons on the bottom I cut to have a banner/pennate shape on each end. To do this and have them the exact same you take the ribbon and fold over the ends (so that with the ruffle ribbon the ruffles from top and bottom touch), and then cut at a diagonal slant going up and in toward the middle of the fold.

I cut the title out using my Silhouette Cameo and added some different color sequins that matched the rest of the page around the edges of the title (in hopes they would resemble bubbles). I hope you all enjoyed my layout.

Tillamook 2 page layout

Hey everyone,

Another layout... this time a 2 page layout (which is pretty rare for me). Don't get me wrong I love them and I wish I did more but I just never seem to do any.

I cut all of the embellishments with my Silhouette Cameo by taking pics and tracing... and that boat one in the top left corner was lots of fun to weed (NOT!). For the boat logo I actually cut it out of navy vinyl because it was so detailed I knew paper wouldn't stand a chance lol. Some of the embellishments are on pop dots and some aren't. These pics are from Harmony's very first time at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We always make a point of getting to the Cheese factory on every beach trip we can.. we love it. It's the only place you can get Adam's favorite squeeky cheese. Jayden also loved it and Harmony loves it now (this trip she was only a week and a half old so she couldn't try it out then).

Starfish Layout

Hey Everyone,

Another layout to share. This one is another aquarium layout. I made this using mainly papers from the beach house collection (I've had it just sitting around for almost over a year)   from the paper studio, you can get it from hobby lobby.. super cute papers in there! Anyway... I used my silhouette cameo and design studio to make the title, stars and triangles on the bottom. I used pop dots for a few of the stars and adhered everything else with Zig glue and ATG tape. I used a punch for the line running across the top-middle and bakers twine on the silver tag. I cut the picture in three 2 inch increments to fit the sketch better. The red-ish colored paper (which is actually more orange) has been around for a couple years just sitting in my stash.

Harmony's 1st beach trip layout

Harmony's first beach trip ... wow this was a long time ago.. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I still remember everything about this trip :).

For this layout I followed a sketch... I used dcwv papers. The little starfish and sand dollar on the burlap are held on with terrifically tacky tape. Thickers for the title and an epoxy sticker I had in my stash.

I'm entering this layout into the following challenges:

scrap around the world - #9 (the mood board inspired me with the entire layout.. colors, elements, and picture)

Beach Fun Layout

These are the scraps I started out with.

This was a fun layout to make because I had to use all scraps.. which I love to do! I cut the beach ball at 4 inches and the title at 2 inches both from the Pack Your Bags cart. The strips are all different sizes ranging from 3inches wide to 4 inches wide. I inked the title with a light blue chalk ink and used a blue zig marker to darken some of the items in the title like the beach ball and the umbrella.

2 page beach layout

For todays challenge the SweetSassyDiva DT was asked to create a 2 page mini album layout (5 3/4 x 8 3/4) that had a beach theme.. we get extra credit for using the same colors as the color challenge (bright blue, neon green, hot pink, yellow, orange).

I used Life's A Beach to create my layouts.
For the first page I cut the green cardstock down to 6.5x4.5 for a photo mat for a 4x6 photo. I cut the title for the scuba diver (under the sea) at 2 inches in blue and then I used a blue chalk ink to make it a little darker than the background, since I used the same blue for both. The seahorse boarder is cut at 1 inch and I cut off one of the extra seahorses so that it fit correctly to the page. I adhered the photo mat and the seahorse boarder. And for the title I used blue glitter glue to cover just the words and the bubbles and I only adhered it at the bottom so that the picture could slide in the picture.

For the 2nd page I got a tad more complicated. I cut out the seahorse from the card setting at 5 inches and cut off the back side of the card. I got a green piece of cardstock and cut it down to about 8 inches x 4 3/4 inches, folded it in half and dabbed some blue ink on the outside to give it a little color. I then adhered the seahorse cover to the front of the green folded paper and adhered the whole thing down (I plan to use it for journaling but it could easily fit a smaller pic & journaling). I added some blue glitter glue to the background like waves.. and pink glitter glue to the seahorse and sea grass on the card area as well as a google eye. The yellow octopus was cut at 2 inches and I cut out the orange at 2 inches also on layer 1. The eyes and mouth are scribbles 3d paint. The little pink shell on the inside of the card is 1 inch from the Create A Critter cart (I had a bunch left over from Jaydens b-day invites).
