Mickey Card

I used the Mickey & Friends cart for this card and a star punch. The papers are all scraps. :) I used some pop dots to make the banner sentiment pop.. which i cut by hand.

Daisy Picking

I made this cute layout with pics of Jayden picking daisies... shes just strolling down the driveway. My papers are from my stash and the cut is from the Mickey & Friends Cart + the Picking is welded together with the Gypsy and used Holiday Cakes for the font. I inked and glimmer misted the title to try and give it a lil more pop. I also outlined the title with a purple glaze pen.

CWC #101 - my last post for CWC

Hey everyone today is challenge #101 over at CWC (What did you do this summer? vacation/summer scrapbook layout). It's also my very last post as a CWC design team member. It's been fun and I decided to step down from the team at the end of my term (which this is). I have a lot of stuff going on soon (Harmony's birthday, Adams b-day, halloween, then all the other holidays and of course Jayden's bday too).. I'll still be posting just won't have the time for 2 teams any more. I've had lots of fun on the CWC team and hopefully will be able to join again.

On to my project... a Disney layout of our trip to Disney World in late June. :D We had a blast and the girls loved them some Mickey mouse.. I can't say but I'm pretty sure they met him at least 5 times during our trip.

I used a sketch (which will be linked at the end) and I used the traditional mickey colors (red yellow, black & white). I used Mickey & friends and Home Accents carts for this project. Then I glimmer misted the outer edge of the paper.

CWC Crops of Love Hop - Day 1

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut.com, Crops of Luv Blog Hop. This month our designers chose to create layouts for the Crops of Luv Organization. If you came here from Larelyn then you are in the right place, if you need to start from the beginning, then just head over to CWC.

Crops of Luv works hand-in-hand with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and creates scrapbooks for families who have children facing life-threatening illnesses. Our hop will focus on creating 12 x 12 Scrapbook double page LOs using these themes: Princesses, Pirates, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Summer Fun (e.g. swimming), Christmas (yes, they have Christmas every Thursday at "Give Kids the World"), or general Disney themes.

Crops of Luv has some specific guidelines for the layouts. They need to include a journaling block or tag and mats for 3 4 x 6 pictures on each page. They also do not want the photo mats permanently adhered to the page. That way they can flip them whichever way they need to.

We hope you will enjoy our creations! We would love for you to participate. You can make a two-page layout following the parameters outlined above and mail it directly to Crops of Luv c/o Roberta Baker, 11424 S. Pawnee Circle, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Since this blog hop is also a challenge, be sure to link your project to CWC/PCW.

If you would like more information about this organization, or would like to make a monetary or supply donation, please visit their web site, www.cropsofluv.com.

Today I made this 2 page Mickey Mouse layout. I LOVE Mickey.. he's my absolute favorite and no trip to Disneyland/world is complete without a visit to the mouse that started it all!

I used yellow textured card stock for the background pages. I cut black textured card stock into 4.5x6.5 photo mats. The red tag and red rectangle are both for journaling.. the block is 2 x 4.5 inches and the tag is 2 x 2.5 inches and has yellow bakers twine attached to the opening. Mickey was cut on my gypsy so I'm not positive his exact measurements but I'm pretty sure he's 3 inches tall. The Mickey head boarders are all cut in the same red card stock as the journaling tags and is cut with the boarder setting on the Mickey & Friends cart using my gypsy. The shorts are done the same way. The large Mickey in the corner, the red Mickey head on the bottom corner of the first page, & the red Mickey head boarder on the 2nd page are all on pop dots.

The title says " THAT MOUSE" and is on Mickey & Friends cart also. This too was cut on my Gypsy. It was cut at 2 inches tall.

If you get lost along the way, please be sure to head back to CWC and start from there. Be sure to head over to CWC and leave a comment for a chance to win some blog candy and to link your own Crops of Luv creation. Now you can head over to Natt's blog. Thanks so much for being a part of our hop.

Heart That Mouse Layout

Made this cute Mickey Mouse layout using SCAL for most of the Mickey's and the hearts and Mickey & Friends Cart for the "THAT MOUSE" and I used punches for some of the Mickey heads.

The photo mat is for a 5x7 pic and is actually 5.5x7.5. I tied some yellow bakers twine around the bottom of the photo mat.

I used white gel pen to dot around on some of the title letters and around the heart on the bottom right of the page. The little yellow Mickey head in the "O" of "MOUSE" is on a pop dot.

And a red zig marker to put some dots on the yellow heart at the top and to stitch around the star.

Best Friends Layout

I made this layout using the August Stack-a-holic Sketch at DCWV. These are pics of Jayden in the hospital with Nelly.. her very first best friend :D. She LOVED to look at Nelly. She probably would still be sleeping with her every night if we could find her.. but you know how it is when you move lol. I was happy to make this layout I think it turned out cute and I have recently made myself a new goal.. My goal is to get at least 1 page of Jayden done each day before I have Harmony.. that way I can at least pretend I put a dent into her 1st year scrapbook lol. Hopefully that will be enough to get all of her hospital pics taken care of.. thats 7 pages a week .. hoping for more.. we'll see!

I used the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. I cut the title "BEST FRIENDS" out using the Once Upon a Princess cart and I cut the flower out of the middle to make the words fit on the page the way I wanted them to. I inked the edges of most of the background papers to help them stand out. The Seahorse I cut using the Create A Critter cart (as well as the hearts). It happened to work out perfectly that I used very similar colored papers to how Nelly actually looks in real life! I thought that was a great touch. I inked the edges of the pink part of the seahorse with white chalk in to make it pop from the background a bit. And topped the seahorse off with pop dots.. I did 2 pop dots so that it would fit above the ruffle ribbon that its sitting on top of. The ribbon is from some candy I won a little while ago and I believe that person said they got it from Really Reasonable Ribbon.. and it just so happens to match the yellow/orangeish plaid paper that I used.. so cute! I wrote the journaling with a pink glaze pen.
