Seasons Greeting DCWV Card

Hey everyone,

Merry Christmas Layout

Hey everyone,

Today I am sharing this layout I made of Harmony (baby Santa). I used DCWV Candy Cane Lane Stack for this. I embossed some white card stock for the photo mat using the swiss dots embossing folder with my cuddle bug. I punched the flower shapes out of the text paper with an Imaginisce punch. I added a snowflake that I cut with my silhouette. I added some red ink and red stickles to the snow flake. I also added red stickles to the candy cane tag I cut and put on pop dots and on each corner of the photo mat.

Presents Layout

Hey everyone...

It's getting pretty close to Christmas. I'm surprised I've had a chance to scrap recently :). Today I am sharing a Christmas layout of me & Harmony.

I followed the sketch for DCWV December stack-a-holic challenge.

I used the Sparkling Holiday stack.

I cut the snowflakes, title, and ornaments with my Silhouette.

The triangles and tag were cut by hand.

I love all the shiny gold on this layout.

I tied on some wired gold ribbon on the tag, which is on pop dots.

The circular gold cut by the title is an Imaginisce punch.

I'm entering this layout into the following challenges:
Scrap Our Stash - D-I-E-C-U-T-S (D= dcwv, I=imaginsce punch, E = eyelet punch, C= cameo, U= unraveled ribbon, T= tag, S= snowflakes)

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

Santa Layout

Hey everyone,

Today I have a cute Christmas layout to share. These are pics of my girls and my nephews with Santa in 2012. Its a tradition for my brother (and his wife) and I (and Adam) to take all 4 of our kids to get their pictures with Santa every year ever since my oldest nephew was born we always go to the same Santa. Last year he wasn't there :( we were kinda bummed and unfortunately, for some reason, we didn't do all 4 kids together and I think it had something to do with us not being able to get our schedules to work together. So anyway, here is my Santa layout.

I used DCWV stacks (Candy Cane Lane, Storybook Christmas, and Christmas & Winter Card Stock) to make this layout. The tags have burlap twine tied on them and the title is Thickers. I think my favorite thing about this layout is the Santa card in the middle of the pics because it fits with Harmony crying so well LOL.

Bo Bunny Tree Hunting Layout

Hey everyone,

Tonight I'm sharing a layout I made using the Bo Bunny Noel collection. I used a pic of me, Jayden & Harmony hunting for a tree this last year (dec 2014). I followed a sketch at Bo Bunny. I used my silhouette cameo to cut the trees, banners and letters using some of the Noel papers. The tree on the bottom left of the pic is on a pop dot.

Family 2013 layout

Wow.. there I go letting my blog sit here neglected. Ugh I have got to get back to this but my scrapbook room still isn't finished being re-done, and the holidays, I fear I won't be back into the regular swing until after Christmas. But you never know, I will be crafting a lot for Christmas so hopefully I can get a few projects on here.

Anyway, today I have a layout I made. I used DCWV Lemon Flower stack, gold glitter thickers and ATG tape to adhere.

MyMemories Suite GIVEAWAY and review

Hey everyone.. ugh it seems like forever since I've been able to blog. Life gets crazy sometimes.. no exceptions here! :)

Today I have a giveaway for you guys (gals lol)! Details below...

I have had MyMemories Suite for awhile now.. and I personally love it! It's so fun and easy to use. Very user friendly and simple. It makes digital scrapbooking a breeze! I have used other software before (photoshop since I'm a photographer.. ) and when it comes to digital scrapbooking MyMemories Suite is so much more fast.

The best part about MyMemories Suite is simply... no mess! Don't feel like spending the time to clean up/ set up but still wanna be crafty.. this is perfect.

This is not only for scrapbooking.. but you can use this software to make calendars, and even your Christmas cards! In addition to those great things, I also love the variety available. There are so many wonderful kits in the MyMemories.com store. MyMemories often has great sales on their kits too. They share ideas and have contests on facebook (with prizes!) ;) Also check out their blog for more inspiration.

Now let me show you a few new layouts I've made with it.. just in a few hours I made all 3 of these layouts..

My lil Harmony last Dec.. :) how fast they grow can't believe it!! This will be her 2nd Christmas!

Speaking of growing my lil Jayden is growing like a weed.. she'll be 3 this Jan. This is one of (MANY of) my fav pics of her and her daddy :) Aren't they just adorable!

Here is another layout of Jayden and her daddy at the zoo! The hardest part about this layout was trying to decide which great embellishments I wanted to use.

You may notice that these have all sorts of fonts... another great feature is that you can use any of the fonts on your computer for text or even WordArt.

Ok.. enough of my telling you how great this program is, enter for a chance to win and decide for yourself!!!

How to enter:

Good luck everyone!

And here are a few more layouts I've made with MyMemories Suite.. one of which is my FAV!!

Jaydens tiny toes..

one of the MANY ultrasounds of baby Harmony...

And my all time FAVORITE!!! so cute! One of Harmony's maternity pics.. I was trying to go for.. (my guess/hope) Jayden's point of view.. I just love this so much! :)

Funniest thing.. all of these layouts only have one pic.. I don't normally do 1 pic layouts for paper or digital.. I guess these are just pics I wanted to showcase on their own.. there is absolutely no restrictions to how many images you can use with MyMemories Suite.

One last thing.. We leave for a vacation to SoCal on Saturday Dec 1.. (CANT WAIT!) and of course we'll be going to Disneyland since well honestly.. what else is there in Cali?! lol! We won't be back until Dec 13.. so there won't be many (if any) crafty posts during that time.

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

Christmas Decoration Hop!

Welcome to the Christmas Decorations Blog hop with Creations with Becka. If you arrived here from Beckie Woodall's Blog then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by to say Hi, then please start at the beginning of the hop over at Creations with Becka. Please make sure you stop by every blog on the list and leave a comment so you are eligible to win the grand prize blog candy- which is a Cricut cartridge.
So today we thought it would be fun to showcase Christmas Decorations for the Holiday season. There is a great line up of wonderfully talented ladies who have made awesome decorations to share with you.

I made this Advent Calender for my oldest daughter, Jayden (23 months old on Dec 11).

Recipe:
wood board (mine is an extra shelf from the garage)
white spray paint
red paint
paint brush
vinyl
25 clothes pins
hot glue gun & glue
paper
25 stockings
Modge Podge
adhesive (atg gun & zig glue)
ribbon
bakers twine
Cricut Expression
Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0

Instructions:
I started by spray painting the shelf white and letting it dry. Then I painted a coat of red paint over top of the white. While the red paint dried I cut out shapes in the vinyl using sure cuts a lot and my Cricut.. I cut out "Jayden" and some angels. Then I put the vinyl "Jayden" on the board where I wanted it and spray painted the board white again. Once the white was done drying I peeled up the vinyl and "Jayden" was in red. Then I placed the 2 vinyl angels on where I wanted them.
I cut small strips of paper to fit over the clothes pins and used modge podge to adhere the paper on. I cut some edged circles, normal cirlces and all the numbers I needed for the advent calender from Sure Cuts A Lot in different colors. I used my ATG gun to adhere the circles together and some Zig glue to put the numbers on. On half of the stockings I tied ribbon or Bakers Twine on to make them longer and hang lower than other stockings so you could see them all. I hot glued the tags onto the stockings. I lined all the clothes pins up on the board where I wanted them and hot glued them down to the board. I then clamped the stockings onto the board. :) Hope you enjoyed my project.

All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on this post with a way to contact you if you win by Sunday Dec 11 2011 by 11:59pm PST. Very 1st Step Card

I made my very first step card!!! They are super easy I have no idea why I've never made one before. I used Echo Park's Wintertime line to make my card.

To make this card (in case you don't know how) You take a strip that is 12 inches long by as wide as you want (mine is 5 inches wide) and fold at 1 in, 2 in, 4 in, 6 in & 9 in. Simple. Then decorate how you want.

I am entering this into the following challenge:
Whimsical Designs - Winter Fun (bling.. I added irock gems to the bottom row of snow flakes)

I am also using this as my entry for the Shop Pumpkin Spice DT call. I love Shop Pumpkin Spice and I'm so excited to have a chance to apply for their DT! Your project has to be something that makes you smile.. and making a new card and having it turn out good and be something I like makes me smile.. cuz I feel like I didn't waste time on it :)

Christmas Card Hop - Creations With Becka

I am so excited today because I am a part of the Christmas Cards Blog Hop over at Creations With Becka (link) . We have an exciting line up of ladies who have all created Christmas cards to give you ideas of homemade cards you can all make to send to your friends and family this holiday season. So to start off, if you came from Melissa's blog, than you are in the right place. If you just stopped by to say Hi, please start from the beginning of the hop over at Creations With Becka. Make sure you go through the whole hop and comment on each blog so you are eligible for the grand prize blog candy Becka is giving away.
Here is the card set that I made:

I made these cards using cream colored cardstock.. the patterned papers are all from the holiday collection by DCWV.. I used some clare stamps for the sentiments. I added some gold ribbon to 2 of the cards and some red bakers twine on one of the cards. For the window card I cut the center our leaving 1 inch around all edges.
I tried to keep all of my cards fairly simple.. the most complicated is probably the one with the candy cane and I just free hand cut a candy cane out of the stripped paper and then used pop dots to put the candy cane back into place.
Your next stop is Lisa Grave.
I have a little surprise candy for someone to win.. all you have to do is leave a comment (with a way to get ahold of you if you win) by Sunday Dec 4 2011 @ 11:59pm PST and I'll draw a winner using Random.org and post them here on Monday.
