Cheesecloth Ghost

Hey everyone,
Today I want to share a cute halloween ghost decoration.

The ghost is pretty easy to make and super cute when done. All you need is some black felt, cheese cloth, liquid starch, scissors, hot glue, and 5/8" red wired satin ribbon. You will also need something for a form to sculpt ur ghost (i used a balloon and a vase).

You soak the cheese cloth in the liquid starch than drap it around a form or base to make the shape. Let dry over night. Remove from base/form. Cut eyes out of felt and hot glue into place. Make a bow with your ribbon and hot glue into place. All done!

Daddy's Lil Pumpkin Layout

Hey everyone.. sorry its been so long since I've posted.. life just has a way of taking over I guess. I have been crafting behind the scenes the whole time though (well most of the time). We just went on a Disneyland/ SoCal/ AZ vacation/trip for 2 weeks, so that took some time.. hopefully I'll have some pics to post later on.

So I made this layout of Jayden & Adam from Jayden's first Halloween..

Grandpa's lil Pumpkin layout

Layout I made for the imaginisce challenge this month.

I used all imaginisce paper except the corrugated cardboard strip & the paper used for the title and the pumpkins. I cut the ovals for the pumpkins with Cricut Craft Room Basics. The title was cut with Mini Monsters and the other text I cant remember for sure put I think it was Plantin Schoolbook. I used the irock and some orange gems in the top corners and for the dot on the "i" in "lil". All of the text is dotted with white gel pen and the pumpkins are inked around the edges in dark brown. I also inked the cardboard and parts of the background with brown ink.

Yellow Brick Road Layout

Today I have a layout I made using some of our Halloween pics from 2012. We did a Wizard of Oz theme... Jayden was Dorothy, Harmony was the Cowardly Lion, Adam was the Scarecrow, and I was the Tin Man. These are some silly pics we did in the studio... we did an entire set I have so many pics it's not even funny... and it was super hard to pick which ones to print for scrapping.. but after much deliberation I finally picked out 50+ lol!!!

All papers (except the bright yellow behind the pics) are from the Wizard of Oz collection by Paper House. I saw it and HAD to get it.. too perfect! The circles are jute twine.. I thought it fit well with the straw of the Scarecrow.

Wicked Layout

Ok everyone check out this awesome (well i think so anyway) ;) layout I made. It's for a pic of Wicked which my wonderful SIL asked me to go to with her (my bro bought her the tickets for her birthday cause she's been wanting to see it for .. well forever lol). I'm so glad I went.. to repay her I took her and my best friend to see Jersey boys which was also amazing!! So we've decided to make it "our thing" a girl thing usually like a girls night out away from the husbands and kids.. and with our friend from high school (my best friend Lindsey) we're all planning to go see the Addams family next which isnt until spring 2013 :( oh well lol it'll be fun... and my husband has actually agreed to join us for that one since I call his family "the Adam's family" lol.

I used all DCWV papers for this layout. All cuts are from A Frightful Affair. I used the sketch for the DCWV challenge this month.

Cut different sized strips of different papers and a photo mat from the same paper as the background and tied some embroidery floss around the bottom (purple and white).
I added stickles all over the place..  around the witch in the top right...

... around the pic mat.. the lightning bolt in "Wicked" the witch hat at the bottom and the witch hat in "witches".

I also added some Orange irock gems some on the journaling tag and 1 as a bubble from the cauldron in the left. Theres a bright green button on the bottom left of the journaling mat and the witch shoes are actually a button thing from my huge button collection.

My Cricut Craft Room Theme Day Thursday - Halloween invites

The My Cricut Craft Room Theme Day Thursday's theme was to make invites or party decor for a Halloween party. I made a set of invites. Also, we're now pink if you didn't already know... that means to support breast cancer awareness we're all making projects that have pink somewhere on them.

I used Create A Critter 2 to make my invites. I cut the little skull that's part of the pirate hat of the ghost. I cut it at about 2 inches or so (i used my gypsy so i'm not 100 % on the size).

I cut card bases out of black and they're smaller 4 x 3 (or so when folded) and 4x6 when unfolded. On the black cards I held the skull on the card and inked onto the card with light pink ink (it turned out more on the white side though). And I did the same for the pink but used black ink. the pink is cut at about 3.5 x 2.5 and then placed on the black base. I used a clear stamp from a Recollections party set to stamp "you're invited!" on the cards. I placed it down the side of the black card and along the bottom of the pink.

Spooktacular (1st) Spinner Card

Well here it is everyone... the coolest card I've ever made. I know it's not wonderful or anything but I'm pretty pleased with my very first spinner card.

Theres lots of tutorials online about making spinners if you'd like to try your hand... super easy! Basically its to of the same cut with fishing line in between and glued inside(atg taped lol) and then the extra string gets put between the window (you make an extra one for the inside and do the same thing you did with the monster/cut or whatever you want to use.

I embossed 2 papers with different cuttle bug folders... the front yellow one and the background purple. and inked both.. one with orange ink the other with dark purple.

I attached the purple strip with the sentiment with small silver brads.. (this is a sketch from PKS this week).

And I used some different pk stamps for the monster.. I cut the monster from Mini Monsters. Hope you like it too!

Trick or Treat Box

Using Mini Monsters I cut this box in yellow at 6 inches... I then cut all the details in purple white and black. I used some stamps I have to stamp the stomach area and then the back. I used some black ribbon to tie on a handle.

Do Not Enter wall decor

I made this little sign using Mini Monsters cart.

I used some chipboard from a flier that came in the mail and its cut at 5.5x6 and then i covered it with the green circle paper cut at the same size. I cut the spider & web image at 4 inches and the "DO NOT ENTER" at 3 1/4 in both black and orange. I inked the spider with black and put some google eyes on him. I hi-lited the web with a white gelly roll pen. Using my big bite 2 I punched holes along the bottom and right side as well as a whole on each of the sides on the top for the ribbon to hang. I threaded black ribbon thru the bottom holes and orange ribbon thru the side holes.
