I used DCWV the Birthday Stack for the layout. I cut the title with my Cameo and adhered it with pop dots. I added sequins to make a circle around the pics.

Growing Up Layout

Hey everyone!

Today I'm sharing a layout of Jayden.  This pic is taken during her 3 year old photoshoot I did (she just celebrated her 5th birthday a month ago). The theme for her 3rd party was alice in wonderland.

I made the cute little top hat embellishment using my Silhouette Cameo, some pink & purple feathers and some pink pearls. The title I also made with my Silhouette, as well as the feathers and the doily. One of the feathers I inked white and then inked the edges with pink ink (Dr. Seuss' Sleep book just popped into my head lol... Jayden can recite this book so well and the pink ink is her fav part lol). The hat & "up" part of the title are on pop dots. I designed the arrow pointing up with the word up inside of it in DE. I sprayed glimmer mist & silver ink mist in a few different places on the layout.

Jayden update

Hey everyone.. its been a super long time since I've done a baby update (sorry about that.. life just kinda gets in the way often). Well I planned a party.. a very special birthday party for a very special baby thats growing up wayyyy too fast for this mommy!
just hours old

3 months old

On Friday (Jan 11) Jayden turned 3!! I cannot believe it, it feels like I just had her. I've been in denial since the last birthday so it was really hard to deal with this one lol. She requested (more like required lol) a tea party. So of course I had to do a mad tea party with an Alice/Disney theme.

Jayden and her sissy Harmony

Jayden & daddy @ Disneyworld June 2012

Dec 2013 - almost 3 years old

3 years old

Over the past 3 years she's learned to do so many things so fast. It's like she doesn't even need my help with anything anymore.. for all you moms out there I know you know my pain here and you can feel the sting lol. Nothing hurts quite as bad as her saying "no mommy, I can do it myself. I'm a big girl" except of course for the first time she told me the most hurtful thing I've ever heard in my life "Mommy, I hate you!" :( broke my heart! And the words turn into sentences, which turn into paragraphs.. and next thing they're in college lol.

Jayden favorites:
food: chocolate sandwiches (nutella), chocolate, candy, mac n cheese
movie: anything disney and care bears and my little ponys
person: her sissy Harmony & daddy
animal: dogs & cats "a debra" (aka zebra)
blankie: "ish blankie" (fish blankie w/ yellow ribbon trim her great grandma Larsen made)

Jayden dislikes:
using the potty chair
listening
being woke up
"Umm I don't wike monters and umm thats what i don't like and I dont wike the dark too!"

Jayden milestones:
speaking in sentences & paragraphs
learning songs and singing them with out missing a beat fairly fast
learning some letters.. what they look like and what they are "o, i, etc"
she can write "I <3 a="" and="" few="" her="" letters="" name="" numbers.="" other="" u="">
shes not scared of bath time anymore LOL

A few funny Jayden quotes:
Harmony sat on Jayden's lap and Jayden yelled "OWE! Break my legs!!"
"I'm big and that makes mommy sad and that makes daddy old!"

LOL!!!

I wrote most of this awhile ago and am just now getting to posting it.. so long ago that it was supposed to be posted before her 3rd birthday. I figured I better get it up before I forget.

Next I'll have a Harmony update.. maybe.... tomorrow?? That would be nice we'll see. yesterday Harmony was exactly 1.5 years old :(. Where does the time go?

MCCR Theme Day Thursday - Football Birthday

It's Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut Craft Room and the theme today is birthday!

I made this card for my big brother.. he loves football and his fav color is red.

To make this card I used the Life is A Party cart. The card is a red card base.. with a red patterned paper on top & I inked the edges of the pattern paper with brown ink. I tied some red bakers twine around the bottom of the patterned paper.

The inside has a stamped present in brown and brown ink around the edges.

To check out the other DT projects today head over to My Cricut Craft Room.

Wanted Sign

I made this awesome Wanted sign for my nephews 4th birthday party.. (cowboy themed) And it was used as a photo prop.. we held it up and took pics of the kids inside it... along with mustaches, which I also made and will show you on another day!

My lil Harmony... Wanted for being too super adorable
My lil Jayden... wanted for being ridiculous lol

And of course the Birthday boy.. Gryphon :) Wanted for getting too old :(

I used a cardboard box (my husband cut it for me) and I cut the letters and numbers from the Old West cart in brown card stock. I adhered it to the sign where I wanted it. Then I inked around the edges with dark brown ink to make it look all you know.. old lol!

Birthday Boy Layout

Made this 2 page layout for the DCWV July Stack-aholic Template challenge. You have to follow the sketch and use all of your papers from the same DCWV stack, any stack you like but the papers must all come from the same stack.

I used the Nana's Nursery - Baby Boy stack for my layout. I have so many pics to scrap its not even funny lol. These are pics of my nephew on his birthday 2 years ago.. his first birthday (he just turned 3) and those aren't even the oldest pics I have to scrap lol.

I also finally got to use my Life's A Party cart.. which I've had for a LONG time now I'd say I got it less than 2 months after it came out and just finally got to open it today to make this layout :) so I was excited about that.
All of my embellishments were cut with Lifes A Party and I used Pop Dots on all of them. The balloons I used some Bakers Twine on I thought it added a little something. I decided to ink the edges on most everything to help all items stand out a little bit more than they would have. Hope you like it I think its pretty dang cute!!

Jayden's 1st Birthday Party Supplies!

My little baby Jayden is turning 1 on January 11, 2011! I cannot believe how fast this year went.. Im gonna cry on her birthday I just know it.. (I cry on her month birthdays lol). I have all of this stuff made kind of early (we're doing her party on Jan 1, 2011 so that family can come since we'll be home then). Why so early you ask? Well... we are leaving WY (and my Cricut and all my crafty things) On Dec 12 and won't be back until Jan 5 so I have to get it done now!

This week at SweetSassyDiva DT our challenge was to make party stuff.. (invites, banners, gift bags, cakes etc.)

- What you'll need -
For the invites:
premade cards (I made a total of 19)
blue card stock
bright blue ink pad
hot pink card stock
neon green card stock
purple card stock
black card stock
black Glaze pen
black ink pad
clear accents
Plantin SchoolBook
Create A Critter
Cricut
adhesive
Cuttlebug
divine swirls embossing folder

For the gift bag:
brown gift bag (got mine at the dollar tree 2 for $1)
hot pink cardstock
blue card stock
purple card stock
neon green card stock
black glaze pen
adhesive
double sided foam tape
Create A Critter
Wild West
Cricut

- How To Make It -
The invites:
Cut the blue cardstock to the size of your premade cards (a little smaller than the front) and emboss with the Cuttlebug and Divine Swirls folder. Take your blue ink pad and rub over the blue card stock to give a little dimension to the swirls. Adhere the blue cardstock to the front of the card. With Create A Critter cut some whales and jellyfish (I cut my whales and large jellyfish at 3 inches and my smaller jellyfish at 2 inches). I cut them in pink and purple and saved the green for the tags (its a girl party so I just wanted the green to be an accent). Adhere the whales and jellyfish on the cards (upper middle). With Plantin SchoolBook cut out the #1 using roly poly at 11/4 inch in the green, purple & pink cardstock. Cut some strips of green & pink (they are the ones the words will show best on) approx. 1x4 inches and distress the edges using the black ink pad. Write the sentiment (I had wrote all of mine a stamp or printed version would work just fine) with the black Glaze pen. I just decided to come up with my own theme for Jaydens party, I already knew what I wanted so I didn't have to search for anything. I placed the strips diagonally and put opposite colored 1's over the end of the strip. I then covered the 1's in clear accents to give it the look of water.

The gift bag:
I cut the purple jellyfish at 4inches and the pink whale at 5inches. Adhered them to the bag toward the middle. Cut the strips of waves by the whale by hand and put foam tape on the bottom one to make it pop. I also cut the bubbles by the jellyfish out by hand. Using Create A Critter I cut the "happy birthday" at 2 inches in green, and with Wild West I cut all the other letters and the 1's. I cut the green 1 using shadow at 3 inches and the purple at 3 inches w/o shadow on, and the shadow green "st" at 2inches and w/o shadow in purple at 2inches. Cut "Jayden" in both green and purple at 2 inches (and shadowed them myself using opposites). I cut the "BABY" at 2 inches and the "baby" at 1.5 inches in hot pink. Easy!
