My Cricut Craft Room scrapbook fri - pumpkins

Today is My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday and the theme was to make a fall page. Well when I think of fall sure I think of leaves, and rain, and cold (all things I love!), but I also think of the pumpkin patch.. which is one of my favorite things to do in the fall aside from halloween and everything else fall and fun lol.

So for my layout I used a few different carts.. the title is cut from Mini Monsters, the set of 3 pumpkins is from Holiday Cakes, and the bottom corner pumpkin is from Disney Princesses Happily Ever After.

Most of the paper is DCWV fall/halloween stacks. The photo mats are greenish blue card stock. I added a journaling tag from kraft and ripped it up a bit. At the top I cut a strip of different brown from the same paper line and used scalloped scissors, then I added some pen work in gold and white to help make it more visible.

MCCR Theme Day Thursday - Football Birthday

It's Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut Craft Room and the theme today is birthday!

I made this card for my big brother.. he loves football and his fav color is red.

To make this card I used the Life is A Party cart. The card is a red card base.. with a red patterned paper on top & I inked the edges of the pattern paper with brown ink. I tied some red bakers twine around the bottom of the patterned paper.

The inside has a stamped present in brown and brown ink around the edges.

MCCR WYEGW Create a Critter pg 25 - Harmony's bday card

My Cricut Craft Room Would You Ever Guess Wednesday.. today we're to make a project using page 25 of Create A Critter.. thats the page with the owl and apple.

I made this super cute birthday Card for my now 1 year old Harmony.. she had a forest theme party. I cut the owl base in black, and the top in pink. I inked the wings and tummy of the owl white (so it looks more like gray) and left the ears black. I added large google eyes. I have a white base, with a brown layer, then i purple gingham layer that has a "1" cut out (using Cindy Loo). Inside the "1" I stamped "happy brithday" over and over in light pink ink and then outlined the "1" with a pink glaze pen. Then I stamped "happy birthday" again with a different stamp in dark brown"

The owl is on pop dots. and I added some green bakers twine to the bottom and a little bow.

The inside has the same purple gingham and then a pink layer with a pink owl stamped in the bottom corner.

MCCR Letter L - love card

The MCCR letter of the day is "L" so I used Sweethearts and Old West carts to make a card that says Love (which starts with L).

I cut the letters out with Old West in light pink. Embossed them with swiss dots and the cuttlebug, and then inked with silver ink. I cut out some different sized rectangles in gray (2 different shades) and embossed one with divine swirls and inked with silver ink, and inked the other around the edges with pink ink. I cut a large rectangle in pink (just a little smaller than the card) and embossed with swiss dots and inked with pink.

For the inside I cut some rectangles in dark pink and light pink and inked each with silver ink. I adhered the dark pink on both sides and bottom (leaving the top open to form a pocket for a gift card, money, check etc.) and put the light pink on top of that. I wrote a message in silver ink on the light pink.

My fav part of the whole card is the blinged out ring. This card was a wedding card so the ring was perfect for the "o". I used sweethearts to cut the ring and cut it in white. I added clear/white stickles to the diamond and yellow to the ring base. I love the color combo. I sent this to my friend who just got married (they had a country style wedding hints the old west font).

Dumbo layout

a layout of some pics from my first Disneyland trip when I was a kid.

I used Country Carnival Imagine cart for the letters.. and I filled them with the same patterns from the same cart. I cut the little elephant from Create A Critter and then used the cut as a mask and sprayed over it with green glimmer mist.

My 1st Theme Day Thursday

Today is my very first project made for the My Cricut Craft Room Design Team! I am so excited to be on this amazing team I can't even begin to express my excitedness (not a word I know lol!). The Theme Day Thursday Theme this week is "Kids in Trouble"

This is my layout I made it using the Cricut Craft Room Basics cart and the Elmo's party cart. I used my Gypsy to weld the letters together. I tore a piece of black card stock to lay under the red title so it would stand out more and I dotted the title in random places with a white gel pen. The paper is flocked and shiny kind of hard to tell in the pic. I picked this paper because i thought it complimented the carpet in the pics well :). To make the tissue boxes I cut the boxes out with the Cricut Craft Room Basics cart and then punched a little semi-circle out with a round punch. I adhered some tissue paper crumpled up behind the box hole. Then I ran a row of crumpled tissue paper across the bottom of the page to duplicate whats happening in the pics :).

The pics are of Jayden during her first trip to Cali (Disneyland). I was using the bathroom and when I came out I found whats in the pics.. It was so cute I couldn't even be mad at her she's so funny :)

CWC #92 - It's HOT Outside!

Today is challenge #92 over at CWC.. It's HOT Outside... (celebrate fun things to do in & around water). I made this Pool Baby layout using the Pack Your Bags cart.

I love this cart it's got all sorts of great cuts for summer time and vacations, beach trips, swimming, cruises, plane trips, car trips etc etc. Anyway.. I did both cuts from the same page and added some Stickles to give them a little shine!

I added stickles to the baby's swim suit in the title as well as dots around parts of "BABY". This is popped off the page with pop dots.

this cut as stickles on the eyes, in the water around the baby and in the water inside the inner tube.

CWC Blogaversary Day 6 - You're A Star!

Hello Everybody!

Today CWC is celebrating it's Blogaversary with the theme You're A Star! That means, any project that uses a Cricut cut AND.. has a star and some sort of flashy element.

Now.. as none of you know (because I've never said anything like this on here before LOL), I am doing a movie them in my upper living room. I'm thinking a mix between games and movies.. and am definitely going with a black white and red theme for colors. I'm thinking classic film.. I have some film strip pic frames and I want to do a film strip boarder around the top of the walls. I'd like to paint the main wall red (but I don't think Adam is too excited lol).

Anyway with that background in mindthis is the perfect challenge to push me in the right direction of decorating my room (starting to anyway). So I made this...

Vinyl wall decor! I put this up in my living room :). I cut out the words using my Gypsy and Gypsy Font cart.. I welded each word together and then cut out of navy blue vinyl. Then I used Plantin Schoolbook and the Gypsy to make the stars. I cut out to very small ones in navy blue to make the dots for the I's. I also cut out 3 larger stars in yellow metallic flake vinyl and 9 smaller ones for dots in between each word. I couldn't think of a better phrase that fit more perfectly for the challenge or my room theme! :D

Pooh Card

Hey everybody!

Today I have a simple pooh card I made. I used a purple cardstock base I believe it's approximately 5x5... so 5x10 before it was folded. I cut pooh out using the pooh and friends cart at about 4.25 inches or so and adhered him to the front along with some stars cut out of red and yellow cardstock with SCAL.

I stitched around the outside of the card with white get pen.

For the inside of the card I cut out a small tigger he's about 2inches. And a yellow piece of card stock at about 4.5x4.5 for the background. I cut out the stencil feature of tigger and then used white ink and stenciled the tigger onto the yellow card stock. I adhered the yellow card stock and then adhered tigger over top of that.

This card is just kinda like an any occasion card. I am entering this card into the following challenge:

Adams Birthday lol + whats new

I'll start with whats new...

We recently got back from our trip to IN, OH, KY & TN. Adam had work in TN and was nice enough to add some days and ton of money to the trip to let me see my cousin/best friend in the whole world, she live in OH. After a few days with her & her fiance and daughter we went to TN for Adams conference. We stayed 2 nights at a Marriott and then Adam moved us to the hotel where his conference was (the Opryland Hotel) for the rest of the trip. this place is massive!! I mean unbelievably HUGE! It had 3 areas inside that looked like the outside with waterfalls and ponds etc etc.. (9 acres total). Anyway, it's were the Grand Ole Opry is located now. While there we at at the Melting Pot for the first (and very last) time. $100 for dinner that we had to cook ourselves and not even enough to fill you up. We also went to the location of the original Grand Ole Opry.. and all I wanted out of the entire trip was to get a Shotgun Red puppet (just like the ones my grandma bought for me & my bro and brought back from her trip to Nashville when we were little).. and did i find one? NO! ugh.. rip off. (pics to come soon)

I've also recently overspent my scrapping budget (for 2 years lol) easy. I got a bunch of carts for $12.50 from papercraftingpro.com along with some imagine mats for $4.90.. a new expression for $119 (mine is on its last leg :( very sad). And I got some carts from ebay.. and some imagine ink from cricutmachine.com for less than $20 each (both black & color).

We're getting all ready for Thanksgiving (and black Friday of course lol).. We go to Adams family at around 1pm leave there around 3pm.. (hopefully stop off at Michaels for their sales that start on Thanksgiving from 4 - 10pm on the way to my family).. drive to my family (45min - 1 hr drive from adams family).. get there at 5ish pm leave at 8ish pm and drop the girls off for the night with Adams mom so we can shop for black friday starting at Walmart at 10pm. I have not yet decided if we're gonna leave Harmony or not.. (I know its not extremely safe to take her bf shopping but... I've never been away from her certainly not over night and im not really sure I wanna do that yet).

For Adams birthday I made this...

this is a coupon book I made using the same papers.. i cut them using SCAL and my expression.. and punched holes with my Big Bite II and added a binder ring and tied some ribbon to the ring.

these are cupcake toppers (or in this case brownie toppers).. The tombstones worked so much better with brownies i mean it looked more realistic than it would have on cupcakes lol.. its like a graveyard of brownies lol.

Sheer Perfection LO

I just finished up this scrapbook layout of Jayden. I got to use two of the new carts my husband got me for Christmas (he got me like 10 carts!! he's the best). These are pics from when Jayden was a newborn in the hospital. :D She's so big. We just finished celebrating her 1st birthday party with family on the first at Chuck E. Cheese at home in Washington. I'll hopefully get some pics up soon. We'll be celebrating her actual birthday on Jan 11 (her 1st birthday) at the Olive Garden here :)! She loves her Olive Garden Mac & Cheese!

Elmo Christmas card

Made this Christmas Elmo card for one of my cousins.. the pocket on the inside to hold the money was made with an envelope that i cut in half. Elmo is from the Sesame Street cart and the paper is from my stash!

Noel Banner

This was my very first attempt at a banner! I chose Noel because it is my baby girl Jayden's middle name. It was a fairly simple project and it turned out so cute. I altered chipboard coasters from Michaels to make this.

Die Cut Dreams Challenge - #75 (anything but a card)

Instructions: I took 6 sheets of red cardstock and cut them just a little smaller than 4x4 so that they would have a little bit of a green border (the coasters were green when I got them), and I rounded the corners. I adhered the red cardstock to 4 of the coasts. I embossed the other 2 sheets of red cardstock with Devine Swirls and inked over the top with red ink to help the swirls stand out more and adhered them to the other 2 coasters. With the Pooh Font cartridge I cut out the letters NOEL in white at 3.5 inches using Shift & Marker Shadow.. and then I cut out NOEL again with the green dotted paper at 3.5 inches using Shift & Marker and adhered the green letters over the white to help them pop. I then adhered the felt angels on the two coasters with the embossed cardstock and added a red bow on the outer corner. I put a snowman button in the middle of the "O" using foam tape. Using my Big Bite I punched holes in the top corners of all coasters and threaded the green, red, and white ribbon throught the holes. And.. tada.

Recipe:
6 - 4x4 chipboard coasters (Michaels, these had green paper on them already)
6 - approx. 4x4 sheets of red cardstock
approx. 5 feet of white, red & green ribbon

Maternity LO & a trip to the hospital

Here is another page we made for Jaydens scrapbook. My brother took our maternity pics for us and since Adam is a Highway Safety Engineer for FHWA he thought it would be funny to do some of me walking like the guy on the signs and then he was gonna photoshop the guy into a pregnant girl lol.. he never got around to it but him and my brother thought it was HILARIOUS to make me do this! So this layout fits into the following challenge:

ArtfulDelight - Sketch #1

We had a very exciting day today... Jayden was projectile vomiting starting at around 2pm.. she was having trouble breathing so I called Adam (he came home right away) and while he was on his way home she puked again. And then again when he got home so we took her in to the hospital. During her check up the dr was getting ready to examine her and she started puking again. This doc was great (we've never had him before but hope to in the future) he grabbed some tissue and paper towels and started cleaning her and then he felt so bad he was trying to clean the puke off her blankie.. (so nice of him). The dr said it was probably a delayed allergic reaction to her formula.. (shes had a "problem" since birth and they thought it was an allergy to milk so we've had her on Alamentium from then to oct 2 (we've tried switchin her to milk formula before this also and ended up switching her back again)). So they told us to give her pedialite (2 oz every 1 for 4 hours) than switch her back to her "normal" formula. Shes sleeping now and doing good but she gave Mommy quite the scare today :).
