I just finished up this card for my father-in-law (his b-day is tomorrow so yea it's gonna be a tad late). I cut the card with Sure Cuts A Lot. Shaded the top with a prismacolor marker, and wrote "Hope you enjoy your birthday a" with a black glaze pen and stamped on "LATTE". We're gonna put in a Starbucks gift card.
This card fits into a few challenges:

My last card before we leave
This is my very first easel card! I made this card work for 3 challenges.
CES Challenge - #3 Easel Christmas card
This was a first for not only the easel, but also for using a digi. I colored in the digi with Prismacolor markers, I got the digi from Digital Doodling there are tons of great digital stamps there so go check them out! I used some ribbon I bought at Michaels, snow flake cuts made using Sure Cuts A Lot on my Cricut Expression, the brads are from eyelet outlet and I got the stamp "Jesus is the reason for the season" from my mother in law.
Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great night!
My Husbands Card :)
Yea, I talked Adam into making a card for Momo's Hubby Challenge. He's so good he made it fit into 2 challenges! Of course his card looks great, cuz he's scraped since he was lil (its his mom's fav hobby card making too). He's always been better than me a scrapbooking.. Im very jealous of his skills. But at least he doesn't mind scrappin with me every once in awhile.
The card fits into these challenges:
One more thing I forgot...
Jayden is now getting in her 2nd tooth! She's not too happy with this one.. the last one didnt bug her at all but this one is making her scream non stop... (should make for a wonderful flight lol!). It's bottom center right side... her first tooth is bottom center left side. Tooth #2 started cutting 3 days ago.. so the 12 of sept. She won't open her mouth long enough to get a pic of the teeth (if she does her tongue is always covering it). But Im definitely after some pics of those.. her first one especially.
Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!
Goin HOME!
YAY! Tomorrow we fly home for a few days. So u'd think I'd be packing but naw. We travel so much and so often that I can pack both mine & Jayden's stuff in less than an hour for a 7 day trip! Not bad eh? We'll be leaving our house at like 7am to get to the DEN airport in time for our 11am flight.. be home 3 hours after that!
Adam went out of town last night to teach a class and we (Jayden & I) have to go pick him up when he gets back into town later tonight.
When Adam left yesterday he gave me a $30 scrap budget for the day (I usually have a $40 limit a month ... or that was the plan anyway.. not working so well lol) well.. I went a tad over board. I got like $18 worth of scrap stuff and then I used a 50% off coupon and got the Cuttlebug for $39.99. Well I'm always very honest with my husband and I knew I shouldnt have bought it before I did. So I of course called him and told him last night. He was a little upset. He told me to take it back lol. And proceeded to break down and well.. he told me that I couldnt keep it because he had already ordered it for me weeks ago for my birthday (which is Sept 30) and had it sent to his office so I wouldn't know (see.. im very good at guessing his surprises and well its rare that he ends up surprising me). He's so good to me :D this time he had me completely fooled and I feel really bad that I ruined his surprise again. Oh well I guess.
We're gonna be pretty busy for the next 2 weeks or so. We come back here on the 21st (along with my mom, shes comin to baby sit Jayden), shoot a wedding on Sept 25th (thats why my mom is baby sitting). Yes, I do fly her out whenever we need a baby sitter lol. Kinda crazy I know but I dont know anyone here, don't plan to know anyone here, and dont want to know anyone here.. and if I did, I still wouldnt trust them watchin her. Drive my mom to the airport on the 26th and leave for Jackson/Yellowstone on the 28th (i believe Im not positive, Adam knows that stuff for certain). We wont be back here again until after my birthday (another gift is a Yellowstone camping trip).
So thats pretty much everything we have planned so far.
Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!
Red, White & Blue Thank You!
I made this very simple red, white & blue thank you card for a few challenges.
The large star is also a tag. I cut the stars out with both punches and Sure Cuts A Lot with my Cricut expression. I used blue & red ink to distress the main card background.. around the white 2nd layer and the stars. I used a red Zig marker to write "Thank You!"
Like I said a very simple card.. but I like it! :)

Back 2 school card
I made this cute little "Back 2 School" card for my husbands cousin. She just went off to college yesterday (or the day before) out of state. This is her first time away from home (for living) all alone. So I thought it would be nice to send her a card and complete some challenges at the same time! So that's just what I did.
This card fits into the following challenges:
I used Sure Cuts A Lot to make the apple, Create A Critter to make the worms, Glaze purple pen to write "Back 2 School!", gold, red & green glitter glue on the worms & apple, yellow ribbon, dark purple, yellow, red, green & light green card stock, & a purple button.
Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great night!

Got Candy? Card
Today I made this cute, yet simple halloween card.
I am entering this card into these challenges:
How fits into the challenges:
Cardz TV - Halloween... Its a halloween card :)
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Try something new... This was my first attempt at a shaker box (the big candy) and making my own little candies (the 3 pink candies)
Cooking It Up With Katie - 3 papers, something clear & inspired by a song... I used 3 different papers (black, light orange, pumpkin orange), I used clear plastic over my big candy shaker box, and it is inspired by I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow.
How I made It:
To make the large main candy (the big black one with glitter) I cut the image with my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot, then I put some glitter (black, orange and white) in the center of the candy. I then covered the black candy with some clear plastic wrapper (which I have been saving for no reason what so ever lol) and glued around the edges of the circular area and held the plastic down. I tied some thin orange ribbon around the area where it would be twisted if it were normal candy and thats about it. I was going for a "shaker box" effect with this.. not too bad for my first time (sadly the glitter doesn't move quite how I'd like, it kinda sticks to the plastic stuff). The little pink candies down the top right side I made with an actual candy wrapper.. I rolled up a little ball of paper and then put it in the wrapper, then I twisted the wrapper around the paper. It was also my first time trying to make little candies.. also not too bad :). I distressed the background with black ink. I free hand cut the "Got Candy?" tag out of some orange paper I got in a pack of scrap paper. I distressed the tag with orange ink around the edges and free handed "Got Candy?". The little bag was cut with Create A Critter in two different shades of orange and I free handed the pumpkin face with an orange Zig marker.

My very 1st paper bag album!
I made my first paper bag album and I must say I think it turned out very well for a first timer! It has a lot of different inserts (pull outs) and I had a pretty hard time being able to show all of the book with just pics but I think I did it. One of the inserts is actually a little booklet in itself! I tried to caption with the pics what you're seeing.. hopefully I did a good job of that. If you have any questions about it let me know.. Id be happy to answer them.
It's halloween themed and fits into a few different challenges.
To make this album I used:
black, purple, lime green, neon orange & pumpkin orange card stock (covering bags and die cuts)
8 paper lunch bags (main album body)
terrifically tacky tape (for adhering bags)
atg gun (for adhering bags)
zig glue (to adhere die cuts to pages)
Sure cuts a lot (to make the witch on the broom)
cricut cartridges: wild card, happily ever after, and lifes a beach (all other die cuts)
orange zig marker (coloring in the pumpkin's face)
black ink pad (to distress most of the pages)
black & orange ribbon (for tags and inserts)
chipboard (cover)
orange, green, white & purple tempera paint (to paint the chipboard cover)
2 different pumpkin stamps, 1 mummy stamp, 1 scaredy cat stamp
google eyes
and probably more I'm forgetting.
How it fits into the above challenges:
it is what ever (what'eva")
it is anything goes (anything goes)
I used 2 pumpkin stamps that are over a year old (old stamps)
on 2 different inserts in the book there is a witch flying on her broom (transportation)
halloween themed (holiday fun)
there is a brad holding the spiderweb on the 2nd page on so that it can spin (brads or eyelets)
Anyway Im really happy with this book.. Pretty amazed I did such a decent job on my first try!
Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!
Best Wishes Butterfly Card
Just finished up a card! It fits into a few different challenges...
I made the butterfly from the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge using 2 different shades of pink paper (all of this paper came in a scrap pack.. not sure who makes it). I got the lace-like pink flower ribbon at Michaels. The pink paper flower (came in a scrapbook set can't remember where) at the bottom is held on by a rhinestone brad (from the eyelet outlet). I used glitter glue (from Craft Warehouse) to put a little glitter on the flower at the bottom on the butterfly and around the edges of the main pink rectangle. I wrote the "Best Wishes" hand free with scribbles (from Joann's). I think it turned out pretty decent.. very simple :).

playing catch up!
I havent posted in awhile.. not quite sure why.. I've been home. lol. I have been working on my first paper bag album and it's almost finished I still need to find some chipboard for the cover.. not quite sure where to find it.. Michaels didn't have any. So that's been taking up a lot of my time.. I'll get some pics up when it's finished.
Yesterday Adam bought me an ATG gun!! YESssssssssssss! lol.. I used it a lil last night and so far I have no complaints.. other than how hard it was to open.. Adam had to do it for me lol.
Still waiting for Create A Critter to come.. hopefully it'll be here today I CANNOT wait to open that baby up and start making some cute lil animals! Also still waiting to hear back about Jayden's halloween costume from Walgreens.. gee.
We went garage selling on umm Saturday. Got some pretty cool stuff. (Im currenly working on refinishing a coffee table for a living room and that got me into wanting to find stuff and restore it or refinish it.) We found 2 different rocking horses (that we'll use for a photo shoot with Jayden) one was $4 and the other $2 (the $2 one we found being sold online for $125!!) still not gonna sale it. We also go a tiny desk (Jayden sized) for $3 and its SOOOOO cute but im gonna sand 'er down and restain it, or possibly paint it to match her room and dresser! No scrapbook stuff anywhere so thats about all we found. But we did pretty good!
Also, we bought our plane tickets home for Sept 16-21.. its gonna be so great to see Mai (she's my 2nd cousin but is more like a sister and is def my BFF!! she was also my maid of honor.. she lives in Ohio)! This will be the first time she has seen Jayden in person (she came and visited when I was pregnant but couldnt stay for the birth). Shes really excited too.
When we get home.. we shoot a wedding on Sept 25 and then head up to Yellowstone NP again (Adams gonna be working up there and its also for my b-day) and this will be both my and Jayden's 2nd trip to Yellowstone but this time we're gonna be camping.. which will be her first time camping! :D
And Ihavea link for some blog candy! Gocheck it out for yourchance to win HERE!
Well as always... thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!! :D
