Fluttering by card

I just finished up this cute butterfly card. I cut the butterfly from Best of 2008 Cricut cart but this cut is also found on the Home Accents cart. I just cut the base out of purple textured card stock.

I outlined the wings with orchid twine from the twinery and used Caribbean for the body. I also added two dots of orcid to the wings and 4 dots of caribbean to the wings as well as a caribbean swirl to show that the butterfly was flying.

The butterfly is on pop dots and the twine is all adhered with Zig glue (I used a fine tip pen).

The pink dot paper is from DCWV Nursery Baby Girl stack. The blue cloud paper is from Recollections and I cut the banner shape by hand and inked the edges in blue. I added the sentiment  stamped in black, love the stamps but never use them. The card base is white card stock from recollections.

Hope you found this as cute as I did :).

Boy layout for sketch challenge

Today I have a sketch layout to share with you all... I made this for an album I'm making for my best friend/cousin Mai.. its for her baby boy :D. I used all K & Co papers except the tan behind the pic mats which is recollections. I inked the edges of the journal box and added a light green glitter button. I added a banner of pennants at the bottom and used some red bakers twine. Hope you like :).

Heres a close up of the banner.. please don't mind the shine of the glue.. it doesn't really look like that but the way the lighting was it made it look pretty obvious.. just bad lighting today i guess.

this is a close up of the green button.. touch blurry sorry about that.. i don't normally take pics like this but i donno what the deal is today.. oh well.

On another note.. turns out Harmony still has yet to have her first sickness.. she was just having a bad reaction to teething.. shes doing a lot better now.. it was a canine on the right.

Apron Gift Bag

Hey everyone.. though it's been awhile since I've posted I've actually been more busy than usual.. I've gotten tons of layouts done and even a bunch of cards. Hopefully I'll have a chance to share them soon.

For now, here's a gift bag I did. I used a kraft gift bag (I got a pack of them from Michaels using a 50% off coupon so it made them less than $0.50 each.. great deal!) and I cut the apron using From My Kitchen and my cricut. The base apron is striped cardstock from Making Memories and the pockets are pink recollections card stock. I adhered it to the bag with pop dots.

Simple, fast, cute, and perfect for the gift that it contained.. an apron with a pic of my girls for my mom.. she loved it!! She refuses to wear it because she doesn't want to get it dirty lol!

I hope to have a few more projects up this week.. we'll see how that goes. Harmony is going through her very first sickness today.. she woke up with a fever of 100 and threw up all over the living room and Adam. Poor little thing is miserable! And.. of course Adam is going out of town for Alaska again.. go figure, had to be during Harmony's first illness. He leaves tonight at 3AM and won't be back until Friday. So if I can find the time I'll have more stuff to post.

1st Smile Layout

Pretty simple layout I followed a sketch, used some peachy keen stamps for different smiles on the circle background paper, pleated a strip of blue card stock, added some buttons and put some yellow bakers twine on one in a bow. The title is cut from Create A Critter & Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art. I outlined "Smile" with black zig marker. The journaling box is a stamp... easy :)

Adorable Girl Layout

I just finished up this super cute (in my opinion anyway lol) layout. I used imaginisce baby powder papers.

I trimmed different papers up to fit what I thought was close to the sketch. I also fussy cut 2 of the circles from one paper for the strip on the bottom of the pics.. and added pink iRock gems (which you can get at ShopPumpkinSpice.com) around each pic and one on the bottom circles (inside the flower). I inked the edges of some paper and inked the background too with pink ink. Sprayed the background with whine glimmer mist. And one of the pink paper strips I pleated. I cut the heart with my gypsy and Cricut Expression 2 using Craft Room Basics and inked the edges. The title is stamped in black ink and I outlined the black in hot pink glaze pen to help it stand out and fit in all at the same time. Hope you like :)

I followed the sketch at Imaginisce this month.
