CWC Cartridge Showcase - Gypsy Wanderings

Hey everyone! Today is my day for my Cartridge Showcase over at CWC. I am showcasing Gypsy Wanderings. I really like this cart! Now it's true the only way to get this cart is if you buy/have a gypsy, but I think it's worth it (well it is for me anyway).

This cart is jam packed full of all sorts of different cuts.. from shapes, to shadows, to tags, to phrases, and boarders. It has a large assortment of different things. Bunnies, flowers, hearts, cupcakes, owls, snow flakes, decorative flourishes... just lots of great cuts that can be used for ANYTHING! From everyday to holidays, wedding to baby, this cart has something for you!

I have made a few things with this cart... First up.. A wedding layout.
I used the music note boarder twice and placed it down the side of this layout in purple. It makes the page :)

I have also made....

This set of owl cards which can be seen HERE!

This flower card for Mother's Day which can be seen HERE!

This crown layout which can be viewed HERE!

And this Easter card which can be viewed HERE!

I hope you'll look at this cart and give it a chance if you haven't really taken the time to look it over before. It's got some great stuff on it!

Thanks for stoppin' by today and have a great day!

Heart That Mouse Layout

Made this cute Mickey Mouse layout using SCAL for most of the Mickey's and the hearts and Mickey & Friends Cart for the "THAT MOUSE" and I used punches for some of the Mickey heads.

The photo mat is for a 5x7 pic and is actually 5.5x7.5. I tied some yellow bakers twine around the bottom of the photo mat.

I used white gel pen to dot around on some of the title letters and around the heart on the bottom right of the page. The little yellow Mickey head in the "O" of "MOUSE" is on a pop dot.

And a red zig marker to put some dots on the yellow heart at the top and to stitch around the star.

pooh book mark

I made this super easy pooh book mark for my daughter Jayden... its to mark The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh when daddy reads it to her.
(please ignore the quality of the photo.. I used my iphone in low light.. ugh lol)

I simply cut out pooh using the pooh & friends cart (he's so simple just 3 different layers usually love that!). I cut the rest of the book mark by hand and I pretty much eye balled it. I used my cutter of course so it would be straight. Its plastic from the package Cricut cartridges come in. And then I used red alcoholic ink to make it red.

Pooh invites

Super cute pooh invites I made. I used pooh & friends cart & Happy Hauntings (for the grass).

I used glossy accents on the balloons to make them shiny.

The inside was all done on the printer and cut to fit inside the card and then inked around the edges in pink.

CWC Blogaversary Day 6 - You're A Star!

Hello Everybody!

Today CWC is celebrating it's Blogaversary with the theme You're A Star! That means, any project that uses a Cricut cut AND.. has a star and some sort of flashy element.

Now.. as none of you know (because I've never said anything like this on here before LOL), I am doing a movie them in my upper living room. I'm thinking a mix between games and movies.. and am definitely going with a black white and red theme for colors. I'm thinking classic film.. I have some film strip pic frames and I want to do a film strip boarder around the top of the walls. I'd like to paint the main wall red (but I don't think Adam is too excited lol).

Anyway with that background in mindthis is the perfect challenge to push me in the right direction of decorating my room (starting to anyway). So I made this...

Vinyl wall decor! I put this up in my living room :). I cut out the words using my Gypsy and Gypsy Font cart.. I welded each word together and then cut out of navy blue vinyl. Then I used Plantin Schoolbook and the Gypsy to make the stars. I cut out to very small ones in navy blue to make the dots for the I's. I also cut out 3 larger stars in yellow metallic flake vinyl and 9 smaller ones for dots in between each word. I couldn't think of a better phrase that fit more perfectly for the challenge or my room theme! :D

(to put my wall art to scale.. my lil super star Harmony next to it lol)

(this is how it looks with the flash it's really not so easy to capture in a pic.. oh well what matters is that it looks good in person.)

I think it looks pretty good.. hope you guys think so too! I hope you guys will all head over to CWC to check out the rest of the wonderful DT's projects.. They're amazing!

Pooh Card

Hey everybody!

Today I have a simple pooh card I made. I used a purple cardstock base I believe it's approximately 5x5... so 5x10 before it was folded. I cut pooh out using the pooh and friends cart at about 4.25 inches or so and adhered him to the front along with some stars cut out of red and yellow cardstock with SCAL.

I stitched around the outside of the card with white get pen.

For the inside of the card I cut out a small tigger he's about 2inches. And a yellow piece of card stock at about 4.5x4.5 for the background. I cut out the stencil feature of tigger and then used white ink and stenciled the tigger onto the yellow card stock. I adhered the yellow card stock and then adhered tigger over top of that.

This card is just kinda like an any occasion card. I am entering this card into the following challenge:
Docerela Creations - Something you love (most of you know I love almost anything disney and I definitely love pooh.. matter of fact we're leaving on June 9th to take the girls on their very first trip to Disney World!)

CWC Blogaversary Day 4 - Tiara/Crown

Welcome everybody to the week long blogaversary celebration for CWC!

Today we are celebrating with projects that include a tiara or crown.

I made this 2 page layout using my Gypsy (of course), and Cricut Expression. The carts I used are Birthday Cakes, Once Upon a Princess, Princess Party & Gypsy Wanderings.

Page 1:
I welded the "SPOLIED" from Once Upon a Princess with "Rotton"(which I just now realized I spelled wrong.. it should be Rotten.. oh well!! LOL) which I made using letters from Birthday Cakes. I put some crowns from Princess Party inside some of the letters on both words. I cut this out of pink patterned paper (when up close it looks kind of like alligator skin).
I made the boarder of crowns using a crown from Gypsy Wanderings and welding them together in a row. I cut them out of blue stripped paper. I sprayed some Ditto glimmer spray across the middle of the white card stock page and then put down some photo mats cut from the remaining paper from both the blue and pink. I topped off the crown boarder with some stickles ice in blue and pink.

Page 2:
I used the inverse of the crown boarder as a mask and put it on a white sheet of card stock and sprayed it with some turquoise Ditto glimmer spray on both sides. I took some more of the left over paper to make some photo mats down the middle of the page. And I used the crowns that were from the letters on Spoiled rotten as tiny embellishments that I adhered randomly around the page.

Hope you enjoyed my project today! I also hope you'll hop on over to CWC to check out everyone else's projects today and this whole week! :)

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

Grad card

I made this awesome graduation card for my husband's cousin. He's graduating this year :).

I used Happy Graduation (a cart that I've never used before.. but I've owned it for about.. oh I donno.. since Thanksgiving time lol) to cut out the graduation cap. I took the actual cut out and ripped around the edges of the hats negative. I took a black scrap piece of card stock and ran it through my cuttlebug with the diamond plate embossing folder. Then I inked the black embossed card stock with silver ink. I thought this gave it a nice boyish feel. I used some scraps of red with light red polk-a-dot paper and cut one side with some edge scissors and adhered them to a white card base. After I put down all the other layers I added some foam glitter number stickers to say 2012 and I wrote "ConGRADuations" on the bottom red paper. I outlined grad in silver pen to match the rest of the card. His school colors are silver, black and red.

Hope you liked my card today :). Come back tomorrow to check out my project for the CWC blogaversary celebration!

Popsicle card

Today I made this SUPER CUTE card! Isn't it cute?! I cut the popsicles out with my Imagine and the Yummy cart and cut one to make it look melted. The sun I also cut on my Imagine with the Create a Critter cart (I put yellow paper in and just used the cut setting.. no printing on the sun).

I used some Peachy Keen Stamps for the face on the popsicle and colored in the cheeks with a pink glaze pen and smeared it with my finger.. I also filled in the mouth with the same pen. The tongue is a different colored pen (a tad bit darker). I filled in the eyes with a white gel pen and put some dots on the cheeks. I also used the gel pen to stitch around the popsicle. I adhered him (or her I guess lol) to the card with pop dots.
I

The papers were just in my stash of scraps and I cant really remember where I got the blue striped one.. the cloud one is Recollections though. I inked the edges of the cloud paper with a blue shade chalk ink. I used some pink ribbon that I had from packaging of a box that baby socks came in. And the sentiment I hand wrote with a pen.

Hope you like it.. its definitely cute (at least I think so lol).

Flower Mother's Day Card

To make this Mother's day card I started with a yellow piece of 8.5x11 card stock and folded in half hotdog way (best term I have is elementary school lol).
I cut the flowers out with the Gypsy, Gypsy Wanderings cart & Expression. Each flower is a different size and was assembled by folding the flowers a bit into shape then I used a brad to keep 2 of them together and ATG tape for the other. I bent some of the petals back and curled around my fingers. I inked some of the flowers. I added a yellow button to the middle flower and tied purple bakers twine on it.

I cut the vase out with the Gypsy & Pagoda cart. I used blue tissue paper and ripped it into different sized pieces and shapes and then I put them on the vase overlapping some pieces and covering with modge podge after each piece. I put the vase on pop dots.

I used zig glue to adhere the ribbon stems and leafs on the card. And I stamped different flowers on the background of the card with yellow ink. Finished it off with a sentiment on the vase.

Owl card set

Today I have a set of cards to share. They are mini sized 2.5x3.5 and to make these cards I used mainly recycled items.

I cut the owls out using Gypsy Wanderings and my Expression and Gypsy. Each owl is the same size and 2 are cut on news print, 2 dark blue, 2 medium blue (one with white shadow, one with light blue shadow on each).

All of the cards have a stamp from My Pink Stamper's Tweetie Hoo Puns. And most have pop dots under the owls.

The blues and whites are all from a bag that I got at Bath and Body Works (except the card bases), and the print is from a news paper.

This card has blue bakers twine, one has blue irock gems.

This one has some pink bakers twine hearts.

(made by putting a layer of ATG tape one card stock and then lining it with the twine and cutting out the hearts by hand)

This card has some light blue ribbon/fibers on the bottom.

This one has blue bakers twine.

This one has blue glimmer mist.

I made this set to be kind of a mix and match set.. I plan to give it as a gift to someone.. I'm thinking my MIL.
