Safe Flight card

My husband is leaving for AK AGAIN! tomorrow and won't be back til next Sunday so I made him this card. I always hide a card somewhere in his bags.. :).

I used the Gypsy (donno how I scrapped without my Cricut.. donno how I ever cricuted without my gypsy lol!) and B is for Boy cart. Cut out the plane in lime green.. used some ribbon on the bottom and cut a strip of green to write the sentiment on. the background is black with white polk-a-dots. I drew stitches on the plane with a black pen and then I put the plane on an action wobble. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Diamonds are a girls best friend CWC #83

Hey everyone!

Today I have a layout I made for the current challenge we have going on at CWC... Diamonds are a girls best friend!

I started with a plain light pink background paper and stamped it with a large ring stamp and pink ink. I cut out mats in a hot pink 2.5x3.5 and 4.5x6.5.

Using my imagine and Cards inside & out I printed and cut out all of my images. I used different layers from the same card and then I added some stickles to make them all sparkle and some have glossy accents. I used pop dots on some to make them stand out.

I hope you'll consider taking some time to join in the fun with us this week at Cooking With Cricut.. all you have to do is make a project with a Cricut cut and bling!

CWC Cartridge Showcase - 9 months

Hey everybody.. today I am doing the Cartridge Showcase over at Cooking With Cricut. I have chose to showcase Cricut Lite 9 Months. This cartridge is just adorable! I love this cartridge. Now this cartridge mainly has cuts for pregnancy and I probably wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't just recenly have 2 babies (one 2 years old and the other 6 months old).

But you can make lots of stuff with this cartridge.. scrapbook pages, cards, mini albums, all sorts of gifts for someone having a baby.. This cart does have a few cuts that are kind of general and don't even need to be used as baby related including a bird, a bee, different foods, soda, car, suit case, hello my name is tag, elephant, catapillar & more.

Now this is a lite cartridge so it only has 4 different features, but its still adorable! This cartridge is sold at Walmart, Cricut.com & ebay.

Here are some of the projects I've made witht his cartridge...

My Pregnancy scrapbook layout.. I made this with just the title cut, bakers twine and some photo mats very easy to make page that turned out super cute.

Ultrasounds 2 page scrapbook layout.. I cut the ultrasound title in white on both layers and then colored it with black chalk and rubbed it with my fingers to make it look kinda like an ultrasound. some thing witht he little ultrasound image cut. Added some patterned black and white paper for the photo mats. I wanted everything on this 2 page layout to be black, white and gray to match the ultrasounds.

Onesies layout.. I cut some onesies and used them as stencils and sprayed purple card stock with some wine berry glimmer mist. then I took the onesies that I used as stencils and used them as embellishments with pop dots to make them stand out a bit. I used patterned paper to make the mats.

Umbrella layout.. this is a layout for pics of my daughter in the rain with a yellow umbrella. For this I used some of the umbrella cuts and inked over them with yellow ink on the yellow paper making a background of umbrellas on the yellow page. Then I used pop dots and put down the umbrellas and added white stitching on them with a gel pen. The title and raindrops were madeI with white puff paint.

And of course we couldn't forget the most adorable thing I've made so far.. These shirts. First I cut out some plain brown cotton fabric and some Wonder Under. I ironed the Wonder Under to the fabric by following the directions on the Wonder Under. Then I put the fabric & Wonder Under on a fresh mat and used my Gypsy to make sure I had the cuts in the right spot.. And cut out the little bird thats part of the onesie. I cut 6 total.. 4 smaller and 2 larger. Then I peeled off the paper backing and ironed the fabric to 2 different plain pink onesies & I hand cut the letters.

I put these into my baby girls' Easter baskets :). These were really easy to make it took me maybe 20 mins total from start to finish (not counting cutting out the letters by hand).

I cannot wait to make more pages for my girls' scrapbooks with this cart it's really cute. And perfect for someone who wants to work on anything pregnancy related.

Thanks for checking out my showcase I hope you enjoyed my projects!

CWC Home Décor Hop!!

Hey everybody!!!

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut’s Home Décor Blog Hop! Our Design Teams are so excited to bring you a two-day hop that focuses on projects for your home – that’s right no cards or scrapbook layouts in this hop! You should have arrived here from visiting Melissa at Crafty Gator. If you’ve joined us in mid-Hop and would like to check out all the other fantastic projects head on over Melinda’s Paper Crafting World and start at the beginning.

For my project I altered a candy jar. See... my oldest, Jayden (2), is going through her potty training (not very well I might add LOL), and to help encourage her to use the potty chair we let her pick a treat out of a bucket of candy. Well I've been meaning to make it look a little bit more classy and fun so that she really really wants it. Right now her candy is in a blue plastic bucket she got for Christmas and it sits high on the counter where she can't see it or grab it.

So I got a clear glass candy jar (we had got a bunch to use for my husbands grandparent's 50th anniversary party at the make your own sundae bar), from Ikea. To start I cut out the letters with my Cricut Expression & Pooh font cartridge in purple glitter vinyl. And then I stuck them on the jar. I used a medium circle punch to cut out the circles to put around the YAY on the lid. I wanted something flashy to help catch Jayden's attention and make her feel like she was getting something really special. And I wanted glass so she can see the candy inside she could have if she used the potty chair.

It says "YAY!" on the lid.. "JACK" on one side and "POTTY" on the other. See her potty chair is the JACK POTTY.. its a potty chair like a slot machine.. also a bright idea to make it flashy and have her think she's a winner for using the potty chair.

We hope you’ll link up your Home Décor project for a chance at winning one of our giveaways. One winner will be chosen by random draw and three others will be selected by the Design Team. Head on over to Cooking With Cricut for the guidelines and the link up.

Happy Bird-day Card

Made this card for my niece's 4th birthday.

I used create a critter and my gypsy. I ran the house threw the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder and inked the top with a darker shade of purple ink to make the dots pop out more. I put patterned paper on the roof and cover the roof and hold in stickles. For the bird I put stickles on the wing and popped the wing up with pop dots. The whole bird is on pop dots also.

Under my umbrella layout

Hey everyone! Today I have a layout I made for some pics I have of Jayden playing in the rain. I haven't got the pics printed yet but I had to make this layout while I was thinking about it. I used the 9 Months lite cartridge and some yellow card stock, yellow chalk ink & white scribbles 3d paint.

I cut the umbrellas at different sizes and used them sort of as stencils to make the background paper.. I put the umbrellas down on the main card stock and inked in different places to make the umbrellas show up and to help the umbrellas stand out since they were cut from the same shade of yellow card stock. I put the umbrellas on pop dots and added white gel pen stitching around them. I then free handed the title ( you can stand under my umbrella) and some rain drops down the side with white scribbles 3d paint.

Simple. Cute. I like it ;)

CWC #81 Card Outreach

Hello everyone. Sorry for this post I am writing it on my iPhone from the (UN)Great Wolf Lodge in washington. As I'm sure you can tell I'm not a fan of this place I highly recommend if you're ever thinking about taking a trip here you reconsider anywhere else. Ok rant over onto this weeks cooking with cricut challenge.

This week is card outreach. Our challenge to make a thinking about you project for a girl with the added option of making a card for one of two little girls fighting disease a . I chose to do a card for each little girl.

My 1st card is for Patty (13).
I used Tinker Bell & Friends and Imagine cards inside and out.

This is an easel card, very easy to make. You take your card base and fold the top pare in half and then put your other part of the card, in this case the dark pink background on top of the front and only adhere to the bottom fold. On the inside you'll need an image that you can pop up with pop dots or buttons or brads something the card front can catch on and tada! You can find tutorials all over the Internet.

My next card is for Emily (6). I used Hello Kitty and imagine cards inside and out.
I put an action wobble on the hello kitty head so it wobbles around. I embossed the dark pink background with my cuddle bug and the Swiss dots folder and inked it with white ink to help make it stand out.
Link
I hope you'll all come over and join in the fun with us this week at Cooking With Cricut and maybe you'll all feel like making a little girl (or 2) smile by making her a card and sending it over.

CWC #80 Easter

My super cute hoppy Easter card for the Cooking With Cricut Challenge this week #80 Easter.

I used a few different carts for this card including: best friends imagine art cartridge, Imagine More Cards imagine art cartridge, Gypsy Wanderings, Sugar & Spice Lite, & Give A Hoot.. thats quite a list lol.

for the banner it was simple.. i just hand cut the pennants by folding them in half then cutting and then I put atg tape on the inside and closed them over bakers twine. The bunny grass is from Gypsy Wanderings and i popped it off with pop dots.

the inside of the card has pop dots under the pink bunnies and i used the devine swirls embossing folder on the purple and then inked it with a slightly darker purple ink.

Hope you enjoyed my card and also hope you'll come on over to CWC and enter in our challenge this week.. its always lots of fun! :D and who doesn't have something Eastery to make lol (poor English I know).
