Different Christmas ornament

For this I cut the snow flake out using SCAL 2.0 & my Expression. I used 3 and folded them in half and used zig glue to adhere them and some ATG tape on the inside and added some green bakers twine. Then I put some ATG tape at the other end of the twine and adhered it to the top of the ornament. I dumped some white glitter into the bulb and then closed it up. Simple, easy, and cute!

2nd paper ornament

this is my second successful paper ornament and I love how it looks. I cut it at every 1/2 inch.. :) didn't take too long either.. it doesnt take that much after you have a system figured out. I used K&Co paper for this too.

Paper Ornament

My first paper ornament turned out pretty good.. I used double sided card stock and cut 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch and the rest are 1/2 inch cuts.. it was a little confusing I wont lie.. I did try to do another one fast and ended up cutting the thing all up and ruined it :( oh well.

Binky Garland

I took all of Jayden's old binkies (she stopped using the binky when she was about 3 months old and switched over to the thumb) and strung them on some green ribbon.. tying each to the ribbon so they would stay in place. I came up with this idea all on my own, I've never seen one before so I was pretty happy that I came up with something so cool!! (That's not to say it hasn't been done before, just saying I've never seen such a thing before). So not only is it homemade, but it's also a great way to use the binkies instead of throwing them away, and of course what a great keepsake for many many years. I plan to do another one when Harmony is finished with hers. Note: this would have been a LOT longer (you know how you buy tons of binkies) if we hadn't of lost so many lol.

Graphic 45 Christmas tag

Using Christmas Emporium by Graphic 45 I made this Christmas tag. I made the flower on the bottom 3d and added gold and black ink to kind of distress it... the center is scribbles 3d paint in red. I layered the tag with different papers from the line and used some green bakers twine to tied some of the layers on. I inked around the edges of the tags base with gold ink. & tied the tag on with green & red bakers twine.

Graphic 45 Tag set

Using Christmas Emporium by Graphic 45 I made these tags.. love em.. especially the tree one.

All the cuts are from Winter Woodland

I inked the edges of the tan card stock with different ink... gold, red & green.

I used green & red baker's twine for the tags to be tied on (and 1 irock gem on the above tag).

I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out since this was my first set of matching tags.

Tiny Card Set

These are the cutest cards I've ever made!! I love them to death. And I also made my very first clear card.. which is definitely my fav card I've ever made! It's so cool.

I used PKS Winter is for the Birds stamps & and some Pink Stamper sentiments. I colored the bird in with zig markers and glaze pens. I cut the bird out close and then layered colors of card stock & mulberry paper that matched the bird. I also embossed the card stock using snow dots embossing folder.

The cards are all different sizes but stay around 2x3ish. I embellished all of the cards with matching bakers twine & on some of the cards I mixed the twine to match the scarf.

For the clear card I used one of the plastic boxes my Cricut carts come in and cut it down and folded it. Fairly easy and super cheap :D.

Pop up gift card holder + giveaway

First the giveaway.. not mine.. over at the Creative Cutter Room!! Head over and see how to enter for your chance to win 2 cricut carts & 2 embossing folders!!

Now onto my project. I made my very first gift card holder.. I've made them before but they were more like pockets that could hold a gift card or money etc. anyway... lol.

I found a tutorial for this pop up gift card holder HERE! It's actually a lot more simple than you'd think. I did have a few problems with it. I couldn't get it to close and I had to add a little strip to help pop the gift card up. No biggie thow.. I actually didn't even add the strip, my husband did... he's an engineer LOL!!!

Supplies:
Recollections card stock (red & green)
DCWV Christmas collect (holly patterned paper)
Recollections stamps (Merry Christmas on front of card)
ATG gun
Green bakers twine
Terrifically tacky tape (for the pop up part so it was more strong)
red ink (inking the edges of the papers)
green ink (the sentiment & inking around sentiment)
red zig marker ("enjoy" on the inside)

Yesterday we took the girls to get their pics with Santa.. I'll do their update posts sometime this weekend.. maybe even today. :)

Joy to the World Card

I made this card using the Winter Woodland Cartridge, cream card stock, gray bakers twine, a silver ink pad, Divine Swirls embossing folder, ATG gun, Pop dots, and a "Joy to the World" stamp from Recollections.

I cut the deer and it's shadow out at 2 3/4 inches, then inked the shadow silver.

I embossed a sheet of the cream card stock with my cuttlebug and then inked it. I adhered it onto the main card and tied some gray bakers twine around it. I adhered the deer to it's shadow and then used some pop dots to pop him from the background. I stamped the sentiment onto another sheet of card stock and then punched holes in the top cut it out and ran some twine through the holes.

PKS light card

If you're here for the Christmas Decorations Hop click HERE!

I made this card using Peachy Keen Face stamps (The Uglies). To make the mouth I used part of one of the eyes from the same eyes I used on the light bulb.

I made the light bulb cut file for Sure Cuts A Lot and cut it out (originally as a tag for Jayden's advent calender.. but I cut a lot of extras).

I Stamped the face on in blue and inked the edges of the light bulb & sentiment. To make the top of the light silver I inked it with a silver ink pad and then drew the lines on with a pen. I cut a different shade of blue piece of card stock and embossed it using Snow Dots (for the cuttlebug) and then inked it white to help make it pop. I used some blue baker's twine and tied around the embossed cardstock.

Christmas Decoration Hop!

Welcome to the Christmas Decorations Blog hop with Creations with Becka. If you arrived here from Beckie Woodall's Blog then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by to say Hi, then please start at the beginning of the hop over at Creations with Becka. Please make sure you stop by every blog on the list and leave a comment so you are eligible to win the grand prize blog candy- which is a Cricut cartridge.
So today we thought it would be fun to showcase Christmas Decorations for the Holiday season. There is a great line up of wonderfully talented ladies who have made awesome decorations to share with you.

I made this Advent Calender for my oldest daughter, Jayden (23 months old on Dec 11).

Recipe:
wood board (mine is an extra shelf from the garage)
white spray paint
red paint
paint brush
vinyl
25 clothes pins
hot glue gun & glue
paper
25 stockings
Modge Podge
adhesive (atg gun & zig glue)
ribbon
bakers twine
Cricut Expression
Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0

Instructions:
I started by spray painting the shelf white and letting it dry. Then I painted a coat of red paint over top of the white. While the red paint dried I cut out shapes in the vinyl using sure cuts a lot and my Cricut.. I cut out "Jayden" and some angels. Then I put the vinyl "Jayden" on the board where I wanted it and spray painted the board white again. Once the white was done drying I peeled up the vinyl and "Jayden" was in red. Then I placed the 2 vinyl angels on where I wanted them.
I cut small strips of paper to fit over the clothes pins and used modge podge to adhere the paper on. I cut some edged circles, normal cirlces and all the numbers I needed for the advent calender from Sure Cuts A Lot in different colors. I used my ATG gun to adhere the circles together and some Zig glue to put the numbers on. On half of the stockings I tied ribbon or Bakers Twine on to make them longer and hang lower than other stockings so you could see them all. I hot glued the tags onto the stockings. I lined all the clothes pins up on the board where I wanted them and hot glued them down to the board. I then clamped the stockings onto the board. :) Hope you enjoyed my project.

Now onto blog candy! I'm giving away 1 surprise candy. All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on this post with a way to contact you if you win by Sunday Dec 11 2011 by 11:59pm PST.
