Class Pic layout

For this layout I used some patterned paper that's made to look like notebook paper for the background.. a blue photo mat cut at 5.5x7.5 and some red/white bakers twine around the side. I cut the crayons and crayon box from Simply Charmed. I doodled all the images and the title with Jayden's color crayons lol.

The box and the blue and green crayon are on pop dots.

CWC #101 - my last post for CWC

Hey everyone today is challenge #101 over at CWC (What did you do this summer? vacation/summer scrapbook layout). It's also my very last post as a CWC design team member. It's been fun and I decided to step down from the team at the end of my term (which this is). I have a lot of stuff going on soon (Harmony's birthday, Adams b-day, halloween, then all the other holidays and of course Jayden's bday too).. I'll still be posting just won't have the time for 2 teams any more. I've had lots of fun on the CWC team and hopefully will be able to join again.

On to my project... a Disney layout of our trip to Disney World in late June. :D We had a blast and the girls loved them some Mickey mouse.. I can't say but I'm pretty sure they met him at least 5 times during our trip.

I used a sketch (which will be linked at the end) and I used the traditional mickey colors (red yellow, black & white). I used Mickey & friends and Home Accents carts for this project. Then I glimmer misted the outer edge of the paper.

Dumbo layout

a layout of some pics from my first Disneyland trip when I was a kid.

I used Country Carnival Imagine cart for the letters.. and I filled them with the same patterns from the same cart. I cut the little elephant from Create A Critter and then used the cut as a mask and sprayed over it with green glimmer mist.

MCCR Card Creating Tuesday - Dino card

Today Is Card Creating Tuesday at MCCR and the theme? Any kind of card! YES! lol.
I made this super cute dino card. I used Create a Critter.

I started with a white base card and added purple card stock over the top (inking the edges with pink). Then I put some purple bakers twine on and on top of that with pop dots I did the Sentiment in a green bubble. I cut the dino in the same green, a hot pink, and dark purple. I embossed the pink layer using Tiny bubbles folder.

The inside was cut in the same purple from the same cart and embossed with the same folder and inked with light blue chalk ink. I put it on yellow card stock which has punches in the bottom from my BIA.

To see all the other great cards today go to MCCR and check em out!

Spooktacular (1st) Spinner Card

Well here it is everyone... the coolest card I've ever made. I know it's not wonderful or anything but I'm pretty pleased with my very first spinner card.

Theres lots of tutorials online about making spinners if you'd like to try your hand... super easy! Basically its to of the same cut with fishing line in between and glued inside(atg taped lol) and then the extra string gets put between the window (you make an extra one for the inside and do the same thing you did with the monster/cut or whatever you want to use.

I embossed 2 papers with different cuttle bug folders... the front yellow one and the background purple. and inked both.. one with orange ink the other with dark purple.

I attached the purple strip with the sentiment with small silver brads.. (this is a sketch from PKS this week).

And I used some different pk stamps for the monster.. I cut the monster from Mini Monsters. Hope you like it too!

The eyes are google eyes and i adhered 3 rows of feathers in different colors on the belly.

MCCR Scrapbook Friday - Elephant layout

Today at MCCR it's Scrapbook Friday.. and we were challenged to make a layout using lite Cartridges. I used 9 Months to make this layout.

The elephants, ball and start are all from 9 months Lite. I used textured yellow card stock for the main page.. and light blue for a boarder of the big main pic. These are pictures from my very first Disney trip and above is one of my fav uncles.. he's been gone for about 9 years now and I miss him a lot! Anyway I made this for a page in an album I'm making for my other uncle (the one that took us all there) as a birthday gift.

1st Tooth Layout

I made this layout using the sketch at DCVW for the August Stack-a-holic challenge. I cut the tooth and "First tooth" title out using my gypsy and expression 2. I welded a tooth into one of the "o"'s in tooth. I put the big tooth on pop dots and put a bakers twine bow on the top and stamped it with a peachy keen stamp. I cut the banner by hand and hung it on pink bakers twine.

I outlined "first tooth" with faux stitching using a white gel pen. I had one of my girls in mind when making this layout.. either Jayden or Harmony lol.

CWC Taste of Summer Hop - Day 1

Hey everybody!!! Welcome to the CWC Taste of Summer Hop! You should have come here from Evelyn's Blog, if not please head over to Cooking With Cricut and start at the beginning! :)

Taste of summer theme means we were to pick a food that reminds us of summer time and I donno about you guys but when I think of Summer and food I think of watermelon! So my project is a large group of watermelon invites that I made for Harmony's dedication (which was entirely watermelon themed).

To make my invites I used Just Because Cards and my Gypsy. I welded the watermelon from the top to make a full circle and then cut in green. I folded that in half and made the watermelon. Then I cut the actual watermelon cut in pink stripe paper. I stamped the outside with a few different "you're invited" type stamps (different brands) in black ink.

The inside of the cards my husband made on the computer using Power Point and I picked the font. He shaped them with a very faint outline like watermelon shape and I cut them by hand. I used clear photo corners to put the pictures of Harmony in so that people could take them out and display them if they wished. I took the pics of her and made them 4x3.

Now hop on over to Court's blog and check out what amazing summer food themed project she's made for you!

Anyway to see more projects starting with the letter G go to MCCR and check out everyones awesome projects.

To make my card I used DCWV paper for the brown background... Oscar the Grouch (my letter g is for Grouch and Green)... i cut with Sesame Street Friends... I put the Heart on a pop dot and under "I <3 trash" I wrote "(like one direction)" lol.. its a funny card.. and the sentiment says "CRAPPY BIRTHDAY" and is held on with duct tape. I made this for my lil cousin who loves Oscar the Grouch... and obviously One Direction.. and someones gotta give her a hard time about it.

MCCR Theme day Thursday - Cookies or Milk

Hey everyone! Today is Theme Day Thursday over at MCCR the our theme is cookies or milk. I chose milk :).

For my card I used the Cricut Imagine Cards Inside & Out cartridge. This card is ready to go all you really have to do is print and cut. I added some layers to the inside.

Now this is the inside.. I'm pretty sure I did it a little backwards from how the cartridge intended but thats ok. I made the cut out hole a frame for a pic of my girls. Since this card is for Adam I wanted that to be the first thing he saw :)

And this is the back of the card. Pretty simple I really didn't do anything other than print and cut the standard card and put the front on the inside lol. Hope you enjoyed this card.

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!
