Miss Ewe Card - Card Creating Tues MCCR

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog.. today is Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room.

I made this "miss ewe" card based on the sketch for this week. I used the Imagine More Cards cartridge. I print the whole image and one of just the sheep and put him on pop dots. The card is 6x12 (6x6 when folded) and the image is cut at about 4.5-4.75.

For the banner I used red bakers twine and strung it across the front corner and cut the little pennants with my paper trimmer and scissors they're about 1 in (give or take) by like 2 inches and the top part has ATG tape inside and is folded over the twine thats how it stays on.

I put it in an envelope and tied it with the same bakers twine and put a tag on it :)... then I gave it to my hubby :D.

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

CWC Crops of Luv Hop - Day 2

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut.com, Crops of Luv Blog Hop. This month our designers chose to create layouts for the Crops of Luv Organization. If you came here from Natt then you are in the right place, if you need to start from the beginning, then just head over to CWC.

Crops of Luv works hand-in-hand with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and creates scrapbooks for families who have children facing life-threatening illnesses. Our hop will focus on creating 12 x 12 Scrapbook double page LOs using these themes: Princesses, Pirates, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Summer Fun (e.g. swimming), Christmas (yes, they have Christmas every Thursday at "Give Kids the World"), or general Disney themes.

Crops of Luv has some specific guidelines for the layouts. They need to include a journaling block or tag and mats for 3 4 x 6 pictures on each page. They also do not want the photo mats permanently adhered to the page. That way they can flip them whichever way they need to.

We hope you will enjoy our creations! We would love for you to participate. You can make a two-page layout following the parameters outlined above and mail it directly to Crops of Luv c/o Roberta Baker, 11424 S. Pawnee Circle, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Since this blog hop is also a challenge, be sure to link your project to CWC/PCW.

If you would like more information about this organization, or would like to make a monetary or supply donation, please visit their web site, www.cropsofluv.com.

Here's my layout today:

A princess layout.

I cut the title out on the Imagine using the Princess title from the Once Upon A Princess cart and filling it with a pattern from the Best Friends Imagine cart. The heart at the end was made with purple bakers twine.. I drew the heart the way I wanted it with a Zig glue pen and then put the twine over that.

The crown is cut from the Birthday Cakes cart out of yellow shimmer card stock and put on a pop dot.

The 2 pink mats are for journaling and were cut with some scalloped scissors. The loopy twine boarders were made the same way as the heart at the end of the title.

This princess is cut from the Best Friends Imagine cart and I cut out some of the extra layers (the crown & dress) and put pop dots under them to make her stand out a bit more.

If you get lost along the way, please be sure to head back to CWC and start from there. Be sure to head over to CWC and leave a comment for a chance to win some blog candy and to link your own Crops of Luv creation. Now you can head over to Larelyn. Thanks so much for being a part of our hop.

Today I made this 2 page Mickey Mouse layout. I LOVE Mickey.. he's my absolute favorite and no trip to Disneyland/world is complete without a visit to the mouse that started it all!

I used yellow textured card stock for the background pages. I cut black textured card stock into 4.5x6.5 photo mats. The red tag and red rectangle are both for journaling.. the block is 2 x 4.5 inches and the tag is 2 x 2.5 inches and has yellow bakers twine attached to the opening. Mickey was cut on my gypsy so I'm not positive his exact measurements but I'm pretty sure he's 3 inches tall. The Mickey head boarders are all cut in the same red card stock as the journaling tags and is cut with the boarder setting on the Mickey & Friends cart using my gypsy. The shorts are done the same way. The large Mickey in the corner, the red Mickey head on the bottom corner of the first page, & the red Mickey head boarder on the 2nd page are all on pop dots.

The title says " THAT MOUSE" and is on Mickey & Friends cart also. This too was cut on my Gypsy. It was cut at 2 inches tall.

If you get lost along the way, please be sure to head back to CWC and start from there. Be sure to head over to CWC and leave a comment for a chance to win some blog candy and to link your own Crops of Luv creation. Now you can head over to Natt's blog. Thanks so much for being a part of our hop.

Swimming Layout

Hey everyone..

Today I have this swimming layout I made using Imaginisce products.

The title is made from purple & yellow bakers twine.. I wrote out the word and doodles with a Zig glue pen and then put the twine on the glue.

the sun is cut from the Pooh & Friends cart and I added some orange stickles and put it on a pop dot.

I Fussy cut these shorts and put some blue stickles on them on some of the wavey designs.

I fussy cut the beach balls and put them on pop dots and I added purple twine and yellow twine over the pictures.

I fussy cut the popsicle and added a piece of purple and yellow cardstock and some ripped imaginisce paper behind each pic. The pic with the purple cardstock background has purple twine and the pic with the yellow cardstock has yellow twine.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

CWC #95 Buttons or Brads

This week the CWC challenge is to make a project with buttons or brads. So come on over and join in our fun!

For my project I made this layout using the following carts: 9 months & Imagine Nursery tails

Pretty simple layout all the papers are DCWV. I followed a scrapbook sketch to make this layout. Both pics are 4x6 and this page was made for a scrapbook thats being maid for my Mother in laws 50th birthday gift. Each person was supposed to make a 2 page layout.. I made 2 different 2 pages layouts one set from each of my girls.

The "it's a girl" cut is from Nursery Tails imagine cart.

And the buttons both the shinny round purple one and the purple heart one are from my stash. I tied a bow on the round button with purple bakers twine.

I used a white gel pen to stitch around the purple papers.

The title is cut from the 9 months cart.

I hope you'll consider joining in the fun this week over at Cooking With Cricut.

IMAGINE ation Monday - You take the cake card

Hey everyone.. today is IMAGINE ation Monday with My Cricut Craft Room. Here is the card I made using my Imagine and the Yummy cart...

I cut the "You Take THE CAKE" image with the Yummy cart and layered it on purple card stock that I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder in my Cuttle Bug.

I inked around the edges of the blue card with purple chalk ink and topped it off with blue bakers twine bow.

For the inside I just cut out this cupcake (which I changed the wrapper pattern to a different pattern on this same cart).

My AMAZING Husband!!!

OK I dont really have much to say this post other than my husband is SO AMAZING its not even funny!!!!

On top of being an amazing dad...

and all the other amazing stuff he's done/got recently (which includes a trip to Disney World and tons of scrapbooking paper and some paper racks and some other scrap goodies)..

yesterday he bought me a Cricut Expression 2... best part.. I found it on craigslist for $100 no joke people.. it works and it came with 3 extra carts!!!!!! :D

Well today we went on a date night to go see TED (sold out so we couldn't see it) and ended up going out to dinner and.. he bought me the bed frame & night stands I've been eyeballing for some time now (a few months)..

We only had a frame under our bed no head/foot board or anything and we're kinda funny he says we have "college dorm room furnature" lol.. which means I have a rubbermaid storage tub for my night stand lol.

We just never got around to getting a bedroom set (we've been married for 4 years in exactly 1 month from today).. wasnt really high on our things to do list.. but he got it for me today and it's AMAZING just like him :D..

He's putting it together as I type this..

And he carried this HUGE-MUNGUS thing up all of our stairs which are a semi spiral lol. Anyway he's the best just thought I'd let you guys know how lucky I am to have him and that he spoils me. Really I just wanted to post about what a great guy he is :D LOVE YOU Babe!

My 1st Theme Day Thursday

Today is my very first project made for the My Cricut Craft Room Design Team! I am so excited to be on this amazing team I can't even begin to express my excitedness (not a word I know lol!). The Theme Day Thursday Theme this week is "Kids in Trouble"

This is my layout I made it using the Cricut Craft Room Basics cart and the Elmo's party cart. I used my Gypsy to weld the letters together. I tore a piece of black card stock to lay under the red title so it would stand out more and I dotted the title in random places with a white gel pen. The paper is flocked and shiny kind of hard to tell in the pic. I picked this paper because i thought it complimented the carpet in the pics well :). To make the tissue boxes I cut the boxes out with the Cricut Craft Room Basics cart and then punched a little semi-circle out with a round punch. I adhered some tissue paper crumpled up behind the box hole. Then I ran a row of crumpled tissue paper across the bottom of the page to duplicate whats happening in the pics :).

The pics are of Jayden during her first trip to Cali (Disneyland). I was using the bathroom and when I came out I found whats in the pics.. It was so cute I couldn't even be mad at her she's so funny :)

To go see some other great projects head on over to My Cricut Craft Room and check out some of the things made by the other DT members :)

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

CWC #93 Happy Birthday USA

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

This week our challenge over at CWC is Happy Birthday USA.. use Red, White & Blue!

4th of July is my absolute favorite Holiday.. it trumps every other holiday.. with Halloween following and then Christmas. I know weird right? How many people have the 4th of July as their fav holiday?! ME! Reason? Simple. I LOVE fireworks! I've been obsessed with fire since I can't even remember when. And in high school I fully intended on becoming a pyrotechnician... but of course... I didn't pay real good attention to my Chemistry class LOL! Anyway.. then I was gonna be a psychologist and finally a photographer.. (which I am).

ANYWAY..... on to my project.

I made this layout with a pic of Jayden.. shes 3 months old in this pic. And the hat shes wearing.. it was Adam's when he was a baby... (I LOVE that his mom saved so much stuff from his past.. I wish my mom hadn't lost all of my stuff in storage and moves oh well... both of my girls even slept in Adam's old bassinet.. I'm a sentimental fool lol!).

The dots around the pic in red white and blue are Scribbles 3d paint.

The anchors are cut from the Life's a Beach cart.

And both anchors have red bakers twine on them somewhere.

I hope you'll all head over to CWC and join us this week in our challenge!

I'm entering this into the following challenge:

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day (and a happy and safe 4th!)!!
