Present gift card set

Matching gift card holder set of cards I made. Very simple (as most of my projects are lol.. I guess I can't get too complicated with a 3 month old and almost 2 year old).

Green recollections card stock cut in half (8.5x11) and then folded in 3rds how ever you want I guess. DCWV Christmwas paper to cover and I used the opposite of each other's outside on the others inside. Inked the edges.. and put ribbon on to look like a present.

the inside pocket is red card stock cut almost to the edges of the card.. (which I believe is 4.24inchs so the pocket I think I cut at 4in) adhered down with atg tape on the bottom and 2 sides. Then covered in the DCWV paper just slightly smaller than the pocket.

Made the bows on top by tying the bow on one and making a crazy looking bow on the other.. just spun it like flower petals and atg in between each layer.

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!

Pop up gift card holder + giveaway

First the giveaway.. not mine.. over at the Creative Cutter Room!! Head over and see how to enter for your chance to win 2 cricut carts & 2 embossing folders!!

Now onto my project. I made my very first gift card holder.. I've made them before but they were more like pockets that could hold a gift card or money etc. anyway... lol.

I found a tutorial for this pop up gift card holder HERE! It's actually a lot more simple than you'd think. I did have a few problems with it. I couldn't get it to close and I had to add a little strip to help pop the gift card up. No biggie thow.. I actually didn't even add the strip, my husband did... he's an engineer LOL!!!

Supplies:
Recollections card stock (red & green)
DCWV Christmas collect (holly patterned paper)
Recollections stamps (Merry Christmas on front of card)
ATG gun
Green bakers twine
Terrifically tacky tape (for the pop up part so it was more strong)
red ink (inking the edges of the papers)
green ink (the sentiment & inking around sentiment)
red zig marker ("enjoy" on the inside)

Very 1st Gift Card Holder Flashback Friday

This is the very first gift card holder I've ever made.. I made it just last Dec (2010). Yea I know it has money in it but it could fit a gift card.. I just didnt have one one me at the time. I remember just making it from my mind.. I hadn't seen one before and I just thought it was a good idea the way I made the pocket.. (I had seen gift card holders before but not made this way). The outside has Elmo cut from my Sesame Street cart.. and the paper Im not sure I know I used it a lot last winter cuz I was so in love with it lol. Anyway onto the important part.. the gift card holder pocket on the inside is an envelope cut into 1/2 or possibly 1/4.. its been so long im not for sure. Anyway I just ATGed the back down and slipped the money in. Worked out nicely. :)
