Pooh invites

Super cute pooh invites I made. I used pooh & friends cart & Happy Hauntings (for the grass).

I used glossy accents on the balloons to make them shiny.

The inside was all done on the printer and cut to fit inside the card and then inked around the edges in pink.

I'm entering these into the following challenges:

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great night!

Grouch Chrirstmas Card

Our challenge this week at the SweetSassyDivaDT was to make a Christmas card using the Scotch Post-It Paper. I made this Oscar the Grouch Christmas card to give to one of my cousins (she loves Oscar).

Recipe:
Black textured cardstock
White Post-it paper
Crimson Post-it paper
Lime Post-it paper
Cocoa Post-it paper
Silver ink pad
Gold Adirondack Mixatives Alcohol ink (Tim Holtz)
6.5 x 5 inch white card
Christmas patterned paper (DCWV Holiday Collection the Christmas Stack)
Small paint brush
Sesame Street Friends cart
Happy Hauntings cart
Cricut

Instructions:
Using the Sesame Street Friends cart cut out Oscar1 at 3 inches, "blackout" with the black cardstock, "white" & "Layer 1" with the white Post-it paper, "Layer 2" with the Crimson Post-it paper, "Body" with the Lime Post-it paper, "Layer 3" with the Cocoa Post-it paper.

Using the Happy Hauntings cart cut out the "M e r r y" using the white Post-it paper at 1 inch.

Take the white garbage can and ink over it with your silver ink pad to give it the realistic look (I would have used a different color but I thought this would be a nice touch). Assemble Oscar. Adhere your patterned Christmas paper to the front of the card (make sure you have it cut a little smaller than the main card) and adhere Oscar to the bottom left of the patterned paper. Put a small amount of the gold alcohol ink on a piece of plastic or an acrylic block, using your paint brush paint on some of the gold ink over the letters from the Happy Hauntings cart. Peel and stick these letters to the top of your card (above Oscars head). With the gold ink write "Christmas" across the middle of the card just by using the tip of the ink itself. Let it dry and you're done! Hope you enjoyed my card!

New carts on the way!

The other day I was so excited I forgot to tell everyone that Cricutmachine.com was having a great sale 50 different carts for $19.95!! Anyway I think it's over now but they'll have another sale and i'll let you all know when. Anyway, it was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up.. But I had already wayyyyyy over spent my scrapbooking budget (Adam limits me to $40 a month.. thow it never seems to work out for him lol). Adam ended up letting me get 3 carts (he said I could spend what I thought I would make off the 2 carts Im selling on my Etsy. So I got Happy Hauntings, Once Upon A Princess, and Old West all for $19.95 each!!!! What a great deal! So those are in the mail!

Last night while working on my card for the Caring Hearts Card Drive Blog Hop I'm participating in on Saturday (BTW you may wanna come check it out its for a very good cause and I'll be giving away my very first blog candy! hope you join in on the fun!) I ran out of ATG glue :( bummer... But since Im making the cards for a good cause Adam has decided to let me spend more again and buy some refills! Even better than that... Adam thinks its such a good cause that he has decided to help me make a few cards to send as well! How sweet :).

And Adam signed me up for a handgun safety class on saturday (as well as him on sunday) and we are both looking for some volunteer work.. we're thinking meals on wheels.. we'll see. So, this is a jam packed weekend.. not to mention I wanted to take some super cute pics of Jayden in the studio this weekend with her pumpkins. Eh.. we'll see how it all goes hopefully well.
