Name Christmas Bulbs

It's been awhile since I've made a post but I assure you I've been crafting tons and I'll show it all as soon as I have it all done. I'm working on Jayden's 2nd birthday party.. and Im making pretty much everything.. from the cake to the hats.. and lets not forget the invites, the party blowers (kinda), the favor boxes, food, food lables, signs, banners, cookies, the list goes on and on.. and the theme.. well Jayden's favorite of course (but it's a surprise) and I promise to share soon.. her party is the 14th so it'll probably be up by the 20th. As for other crafts I'll try to post some other stuff in the meantime it's just a matter of having the time to post.

In other news we just bought a new couch about 2 days ago, and are going to pick up another one tonight.. :D. Jayden sang a song all by herself for the 1st time on Jan 1st (a song that goes with her party theme), Harmony laughed (I don't mean a little giggle, I mean busted up laughing) for the first time on the 2nd.

Harmony's Pin It

No tutorial needed.. 1) put some pledge floor shine in the bulb. 2) swish it around and make sure to cover the entire inside of bulb. 3) dump out excess floor shine. 4) pour fine glitter into the bulb (I tried some glitter that wasn't so fine and it fell off :(.. so i think fine glitter is better). 5) shake bulb and cover inside with glitter (Jayden did this part and she had a blast!). 6) put on lid... and its done!

Jayden's Pin It

I added vinyl names but these looked great without the names too it just adds a special touch.

Mine. Pin It

I cut our names out of gold vinyl (left over from the stuff I bought for Adams grandparents anniversary party) using my Expression & SCAL 2.0. Peel the names off and stick em on.. sooo easy and it looks great!

Adam's Pin It

Not only was this an easy project.. it was also a fun project Jayden (my almost 2 year old girl) & I could do together (so very kid friendly)... but it was also pretty inexpensive! I had all of these glitters in my stuff already that I bought on clearance last year after Halloween from Michaels.. ($3 for 16 different glitters in a pack), the bulbs I had 3 of them from last year on clearance after Christmas (less than $0.50 each) and 1 from this year ($1), the Pledge floor shine was $3-4 for the bottle that looks untouched... so a total of ... $9.50 for these bulbs (and thats not counting that I have all the stuff to make them again so in the future it'll just cost the price of the bulbs (which I'll be getting on clearance from Michales lol).

As for the 300 follower giveaway.. I'm a tad more busy than I expected to be.. you know with my baby turning 2 and all.. well hopefully I'll have the giveaway posted by the 10th.. that is my goal. I don't wanna forget to thank all of my wonderful followers so please don't give up.. it's coming I promise!!

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!!

Different Christmas ornament

For this I cut the snow flake out using SCAL 2.0 & my Expression. I used 3 and folded them in half and used zig glue to adhere them and some ATG tape on the inside and added some green bakers twine. Then I put some ATG tape at the other end of the twine and adhered it to the top of the ornament. I dumped some white glitter into the bulb and then closed it up. Simple, easy, and cute!

2nd paper ornament

this is my second successful paper ornament and I love how it looks. I cut it at every 1/2 inch.. :) didn't take too long either.. it doesnt take that much after you have a system figured out. I used K&Co paper for this too.

Paper Ornament

My first paper ornament turned out pretty good.. I used double sided card stock and cut 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch and the rest are 1/2 inch cuts.. it was a little confusing I wont lie.. I did try to do another one fast and ended up cutting the thing all up and ruined it :( oh well.

Binky Garland

I took all of Jayden's old binkies (she stopped using the binky when she was about 3 months old and switched over to the thumb) and strung them on some green ribbon.. tying each to the ribbon so they would stay in place. I came up with this idea all on my own, I've never seen one before so I was pretty happy that I came up with something so cool!! (That's not to say it hasn't been done before, just saying I've never seen such a thing before). So not only is it homemade, but it's also a great way to use the binkies instead of throwing them away, and of course what a great keepsake for many many years. I plan to do another one when Harmony is finished with hers. Note: this would have been a LOT longer (you know how you buy tons of binkies) if we hadn't of lost so many lol.

Please make sure you stop by every blog on the list and leave a comment so you are eligible to win the grand prize blog candy- which is a Cricut cartridge.
So today we thought it would be fun to showcase Christmas Decorations for the Holiday season. There is a great line up of wonderfully talented ladies who have made awesome decorations to share with you.

I made this Advent Calender for my oldest daughter, Jayden (23 months old on Dec 11).

Recipe:
wood board (mine is an extra shelf from the garage)
white spray paint
red paint
paint brush
vinyl
25 clothes pins
hot glue gun & glue
paper
25 stockings
Modge Podge
adhesive (atg gun & zig glue)
ribbon
bakers twine
Cricut Expression
Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0

Instructions:
I started by spray painting the shelf white and letting it dry. Then I painted a coat of red paint over top of the white. While the red paint dried I cut out shapes in the vinyl using sure cuts a lot and my Cricut.. I cut out "Jayden" and some angels. Then I put the vinyl "Jayden" on the board where I wanted it and spray painted the board white again. Once the white was done drying I peeled up the vinyl and "Jayden" was in red. Then I placed the 2 vinyl angels on where I wanted them.
I cut small strips of paper to fit over the clothes pins and used modge podge to adhere the paper on. I cut some edged circles, normal cirlces and all the numbers I needed for the advent calender from Sure Cuts A Lot in different colors. I used my ATG gun to adhere the circles together and some Zig glue to put the numbers on. On half of the stockings I tied ribbon or Bakers Twine on to make them longer and hang lower than other stockings so you could see them all. I hot glued the tags onto the stockings. I lined all the clothes pins up on the board where I wanted them and hot glued them down to the board. I then clamped the stockings onto the board. :) Hope you enjoyed my project.
