Safe Flight card

My husband is leaving for AK AGAIN! tomorrow and won't be back til next Sunday so I made him this card. I always hide a card somewhere in his bags.. :).

I used the Gypsy (donno how I scrapped without my Cricut.. donno how I ever cricuted without my gypsy lol!) and B is for Boy cart. Cut out the plane in lime green.. used some ribbon on the bottom and cut a strip of green to write the sentiment on. the background is black with white polk-a-dots. I drew stitches on the plane with a black pen and then I put the plane on an action wobble. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Candy Bar Cover

Cute Candy bar cover I made (I know I know it's not Christmas anymore lol..) Its pretty simple to make this guy.. just figure out how big you need your paper to cover the candy bar (this is one of the large candy bars) and then glue on some google eyes, then put some ribbon around his neck and hang a jingle bell from it. The antlers are made of pipe cleaners that I cut and then bent into the right shape and the eye brows and mouth I drew on with a black fine point marker.

To make his nose shinny enough so that you could say it glows I took a red circle and put glue over the top and added red glitter then I adhered it to the rest of the cover. Easy, Simple, Fun & super cute!!

Heaven Sent Layout

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy with how this turned out. I think its quite possibly one of my favorite layouts I've ever made. The sketch is from Sassy Lil Sketchs. And on top of this being one of my fav layouts ever.. and being super cute.. I also am still keeping up with my goal.. this is Day 3 and layout 3 for Jayden's book :) yay! I technically made it today but I started it at like 12am and finished it at like 2am.. Adam comes home today and I haven't seen him for almost 2 weeks so I figure I won't get any pages done today.. so its a good thing I made this one late last night (or early this morning however you look at it).

I was so proud of myself for coming up with the onsies on the bakers twine and then after i got done with it I looked at the sketch again and saw I wasnt the first person to have this idea.. oh well I still LOVE it! I got the bakers twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon.. the papers are all from different companies and lines and the only one I know for sure is the pink dotted one is from DCWV. I inked the edges on the large pink plaid background with light pink chalk in and its cut at about 9x9. The onsies were all cut from the Life's A Party cart at different sizes from 1inch - 13/4 inch. I used Mono glue to adhere the bakers twine and ATG for everything else. I also got to use my irock again! yay! I used it in the corners of the pink plaid mat and on a few different random onsies. One of the onsies and once cloud have a pop dot under them. I hand cut all of the clouds on the top and the title HEAVEN SENT is cut at 1in with the Once Upon A Princess cart. The paper for the title and a few of the onsies has a simmer to it.. its like a shiny paper and I thought it was perfect for this!

Fun & Sun Card & Happy 1.5 Birthday Jayden

I also made this card last night to fit a few challenges.. this one is pretty simple also.. the sun is from Simply Charmed and I stamped the sentiment. I used Scribbles 3d black paint to make the sun glasses shiny.. and the mouth. I cut the middle of the sun with yellow vellum it didnt show up so well in the pics but it gave a cool effect. I have been on a crafting roll lately and it's great! I've been missing my supplies lol :)

Now on another note.. Today Jayden is 1 year and a half old!!! I can't believe it where did the time go?! When did my baby get so big? :( I just cant believe it.

Mini Album SweetSassyDiva DT project

The challenge for the SweetSassyDiva DT this week is to make a mini album with a binding machine or binder rings. I do not yet have a binding machine so I made a mini album using binder rings.

Recipe:

chipboard
2- 1inch binder rings

3 - 41/8 x 9 1/2 envelopes

patterned papers

different ribbons

big bite

adhesive

Instructions:

For the chipboard cover you will need two 4.5x5 inch & one 1 3/4 x 5 inch piece of chip board, one 6x12 piece of patterned paper (that you want on the outside of your book), one patterned paper 1/4 smaller than 6x12 for the inside of the cover. There is a tutorial on how to make this cover/binding at The Paper Trail I figured this would be much easier than me trying to explain it to you! (For my book I only used 2 rings and i put them in at 1.5 inches from the top and from the bottom.)

For the pages inside the book I cut down different patterned papers to 4.5x5 and adhered two pages together so that they were double sided.. do as many of these as you like. On a few of these I took some of the leftover papers after cutting them and made little strip pockets on the bottom.. just tape down on the bottom and sides this will make a pocket.

For the envelope pages I made 2 different types. For the first type I just cut the envelopes in half and sealed the envelope where the sticky stuff is on them.. this will make a pocket. I then covered both outsides in paper (approx. 4x4.5). Then I made tags to go inside of these.. they are also approx 4x4.5. punch a hole in the middle and tie with ribbon.. remember that you will have rings going through the side so the tag may need the ribbon more off to a side so that it appears to be the center.

For the second envelope pocket pages (these are soooo great) I have not seen these anywhere before (so I guess I came up with these on my own), if you've seen them somewhere else before disreguard that lol. Ok, for the second envelope pockets I folded the envelope in half (with the part you would normally put an address on on the inside). Put a strip of adhesive down each side (not the top) to seal it and form a pocket. The patterned paper to fit on these should also be approx 4x4.5 adhere to the envelope outsides by sliding behind the triangel pocket. To cover the triangel pocket you will need to cut your patterned paper to fit. On these envelope pocket pages you have a place for 3 tags.. the middle tag should be approx 4x4.5 and the triangel pocket tags should be 1/4inch smaller than 4x4.5.

Very simple book and very cute. I tied some different random Christmas ribbons around the rings but you can do whatever you like. I didn't add many embellishments I thought this was better as far as allowing you to imagine all the things you could do with a book like this. I hope you enjoyed it!

Happy Halloween Sign

Isn't this cute?! It's a sign to hang.. I guess it could be used as a door hanger or a wall hanger it could hang off anything you could imagine I suppose. I made it today.. first time i've ever made anything like it.. (all i've ever made before is cards and scrapbook pages). I used Mini Monsters (which I was really happy to finally get to use)! The sign measures approx. 4in x 4in. Im entering this project into the following challenges:
