Bee Mine card

I have this super adorable Valentine's card I made for my husband (lets hope he doesn't read this.. who am I kidding? He never reads my blog lol).

I used Create a Critter and my Gypsy & my Expression 2 to make this cute card. I welded 2 of the bee hives together on the side (hid the cuts for the lines and door on my gypsy) and then put 2 bee shadows next to that on the mat and cut in black card stock. Then I cut the bee stripe & head (hid the eyes and mouth on my gypsy) and bee hive out on yellow card stock. I then cut 2 sets of wings in white. Now with the gypsy I was able to put them all on the same mat and cut my paper to the right size to only have to load the machine once.

After all cuts were made I stamped faces on the bee heads with my PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment 1/2" stamps. filled the eyes in with white gel pen and colored the cheeks pink with a pink color crayon (it was closer than the chalk that I'm not sure the location of) lol. I then assembled the bees and folded the black bee hive card base then ATG'd the yellow bee hive to the front. I added yellow stickles to different places on the bee hive, filling in the heart, and outlining all of the lines for the hive as well as most of the outter edges. I then put some yellow stickles on the bee's yellow stripe and tops of antennas.

Next I put glue on the wings and added some clear iridescent chunky glitter over the tops of the wings. I placed the bees on pop dots and put them on the hive. I used a small heart punch to cut some hearts out of red card stock and wrote "B E M I N E" on each heart in white gel pen. I strung 2 different rows of black bakers twine from one be to the other and placed the hearts on the string with atg to make a banner.

It turned out so cute.. possibly my favorite card in a LONG time!!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stoppin' by and have a great day!
