My BIG Candy!

Hello everyone! I have got some great news for you.. I am giving away a HUGE Candy!!! Now.. This might be a little complicated, but I promise it is well worth it!

Ok... here is how everything is going to work...

I will be giving away a candy that will grow as more people participate (this is why there is no picture). I will update as things get added to this candy. Every 10 new followers I get I will add something to the candy (and who knows, 'tis the season so maybe even more often than that!). See the bottom of this post for a list of what is included in the BIG candy.

I want to let you all know about this great service since Christmas is coming and a lot of people do their shopping online. Ebates! What is it? Well, Ebates is a service that works with many online companies and offers YOU cash back for purchases made through them at many popular shopping sites! How great is that?! They have all sorts of companies.. Joanns, Walmart, Target, eBay, you name it.

So, as part of this candy if you sign up for Ebates through the link below you'll get extra entries. And.. if I get 5 people to sign up with my link and make a $25+ purchase through ebates (using the account made from the link below) by December 31, 2010 I will choose 1 winner to recieve a $25 gift certificate to the store of your choice. If 20+ people sign up for ebates and make a $25+ purchase I will choose a total of 5 winners to recieve a $25 gift certificate to the store of their choice! If I get 50+ people to sign up and make a $25+ purchase through ebates I will choose 12 winners to recieve a $25 gift certificate to the store of their choice! (Participants are only qualified for the $25 gift certificate(s) if they make a purchase of $25 or more from an eBates account made using the link below by 12-31-10).

How to enter for the candy:

***REQUIRED***
For 1(one) entry - You must be a follower (or become a follower) and leave a comment letting me know you are.
***Extra Entries***

For 3(three) extra entries - Comment ONLY one time with the ebates username you get by signing up for an Ebates account by clicking on the following link: http://tinyurl.com/eBatesCandy (I need your username so that I can verify your entry)
For 10 (ten) extra entries - Comment ONLY one time to let me know you have made a purchase of $25+ using your new ebates account. (I have a way to verify you made a purchase using your ebates username.)
*** NOTE ***
The $25 gift certificate(s) are only available to those who complete the steps to earn all 15 enteries described above.

You will have until 12/31/2010 11:59PST to enter! This means your comments must be placed by December 31, 2010 11:59PST! NO late entries will be counted! The winner(s) will be announced no later than January 7 2011 on my blog. Please make sure to leave a way to contact you in your comments.

This is for residents of the United States and Canada ONLY!

So let me break it down for clarification: (I find that lists are easier to understand)
  1. BIG Candy that I will add an item to for every 10 new followers
  2. 1 winner $25 gift certificate if I have 5 people sign up using the link for Ebates and make a purchase of $25 or more through the ebates account made from my link by 12-31-2010

New Years bottle Sleeve

This week at SweetSassyDiva DT we were asked to make a New Years project! I made this sleeve with a little card. It fits perfectly around sparkling apple cider (or even wind bottles im sure). I cut this down to approx 10 inches x 3.5 inches in the blue (for the entire cover). I took some firework stamps and stamped them randomly around the blue sleeve with white and silver ink. I took a white envelope and cut it down to about 2.5 x 3 inches and inked the edges in blue, wrote the sentiment and free handed the blue fireworkds on the edges in blue Scribbles 3d paint. I then adhered the open side of the envelop and left the top open then glued the whole envelope down to make a little pocket. I made the card to go inside the pocket with some of the leftover blue. I stamped it with fireworkds the same way and wrote the centiments in white Scribbles 3d paint. The card its aprox 2.25x2.75 when folded in half. The top is some silver tissue paper wrapped around and tied on with a blue ribbon. simple and super cute hope you enjoy!

Have a great day and thanks for stoppin' by!

Stocking Stuffer Boxes

This week at SweetSassyDiva DT we were asked to make a last minute stocking stuffer! I made these little boxes.

Recipe:
12x12 blue, green & white cardstock
Sure Cuts A Lot

Cricut

Adhesive

Clear Plastic sheet

ink pad (your choice of color)

Instructions:

Made the box file to cut in SCAL.. it's a plain box and I added different shapes to the top in SCAL and cut them out. I then scored them, folded them, adhered them together. I inked the edges one in black in and the other 2 in silver ink. I cut down my clear plastic to fit over the shapes on the top and adhered them to the inside of the lid. Simple. I put some truffles inside the boxes, tied some ribbon around some (to hold them closed) and stuffed them inside the stockings..

Thanks for stoppin' by and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Jayden's 1st Birthday Party Supplies!

My little baby Jayden is turning 1 on January 11, 2011! I cannot believe how fast this year went.. Im gonna cry on her birthday I just know it.. (I cry on her month birthdays lol). I have all of this stuff made kind of early (we're doing her party on Jan 1, 2011 so that family can come since we'll be home then). Why so early you ask? Well... we are leaving WY (and my Cricut and all my crafty things) On Dec 12 and won't be back until Jan 5 so I have to get it done now!

This week at SweetSassyDiva DT our challenge was to make party stuff.. (invites, banners, gift bags, cakes etc.)

- What you'll need -
For the invites:
premade cards (I made a total of 19)
blue card stock
bright blue ink pad
hot pink card stock
neon green card stock
purple card stock
black card stock
black Glaze pen
black ink pad
clear accents
Plantin SchoolBook
Create A Critter
Cricut
adhesive
Cuttlebug
divine swirls embossing folder

For the gift bag:
brown gift bag (got mine at the dollar tree 2 for $1)
hot pink cardstock
blue card stock
purple card stock
neon green card stock
black glaze pen
adhesive
double sided foam tape
Create A Critter
Wild West
Cricut

- How To Make It -
The invites:
Cut the blue cardstock to the size of your premade cards (a little smaller than the front) and emboss with the Cuttlebug and Divine Swirls folder. Take your blue ink pad and rub over the blue card stock to give a little dimension to the swirls. Adhere the blue cardstock to the front of the card. With Create A Critter cut some whales and jellyfish (I cut my whales and large jellyfish at 3 inches and my smaller jellyfish at 2 inches). I cut them in pink and purple and saved the green for the tags (its a girl party so I just wanted the green to be an accent). Adhere the whales and jellyfish on the cards (upper middle). With Plantin SchoolBook cut out the #1 using roly poly at 11/4 inch in the green, purple & pink cardstock. Cut some strips of green & pink (they are the ones the words will show best on) approx. 1x4 inches and distress the edges using the black ink pad. Write the sentiment (I had wrote all of mine a stamp or printed version would work just fine) with the black Glaze pen. I just decided to come up with my own theme for Jaydens party, I already knew what I wanted so I didn't have to search for anything. I placed the strips diagonally and put opposite colored 1's over the end of the strip. I then covered the 1's in clear accents to give it the look of water.

The gift bag:
I cut the purple jellyfish at 4inches and the pink whale at 5inches. Adhered them to the bag toward the middle. Cut the strips of waves by the whale by hand and put foam tape on the bottom one to make it pop. I also cut the bubbles by the jellyfish out by hand. Using Create A Critter I cut the "happy birthday" at 2 inches in green, and with Wild West I cut all the other letters and the 1's. I cut the green 1 using shadow at 3 inches and the purple at 3 inches w/o shadow on, and the shadow green "st" at 2inches and w/o shadow in purple at 2inches. Cut "Jayden" in both green and purple at 2 inches (and shadowed them myself using opposites). I cut the "BABY" at 2 inches and the "baby" at 1.5 inches in hot pink. Easy!

Mini Album SweetSassyDiva DT project

The challenge for the SweetSassyDiva DT this week is to make a mini album with a binding machine or binder rings. I do not yet have a binding machine so I made a mini album using binder rings.

Recipe:

chipboard
2- 1inch binder rings

3 - 41/8 x 9 1/2 envelopes

patterned papers

different ribbons

big bite

adhesive

Instructions:

For the chipboard cover you will need two 4.5x5 inch & one 1 3/4 x 5 inch piece of chip board, one 6x12 piece of patterned paper (that you want on the outside of your book), one patterned paper 1/4 smaller than 6x12 for the inside of the cover. There is a tutorial on how to make this cover/binding at The Paper Trail I figured this would be much easier than me trying to explain it to you! (For my book I only used 2 rings and i put them in at 1.5 inches from the top and from the bottom.)

For the pages inside the book I cut down different patterned papers to 4.5x5 and adhered two pages together so that they were double sided.. do as many of these as you like. On a few of these I took some of the leftover papers after cutting them and made little strip pockets on the bottom.. just tape down on the bottom and sides this will make a pocket.

For the envelope pages I made 2 different types. For the first type I just cut the envelopes in half and sealed the envelope where the sticky stuff is on them.. this will make a pocket. I then covered both outsides in paper (approx. 4x4.5). Then I made tags to go inside of these.. they are also approx 4x4.5. punch a hole in the middle and tie with ribbon.. remember that you will have rings going through the side so the tag may need the ribbon more off to a side so that it appears to be the center.

For the second envelope pocket pages (these are soooo great) I have not seen these anywhere before (so I guess I came up with these on my own), if you've seen them somewhere else before disreguard that lol. Ok, for the second envelope pockets I folded the envelope in half (with the part you would normally put an address on on the inside). Put a strip of adhesive down each side (not the top) to seal it and form a pocket. The patterned paper to fit on these should also be approx 4x4.5 adhere to the envelope outsides by sliding behind the triangel pocket. To cover the triangel pocket you will need to cut your patterned paper to fit. On these envelope pocket pages you have a place for 3 tags.. the middle tag should be approx 4x4.5 and the triangel pocket tags should be 1/4inch smaller than 4x4.5.

Very simple book and very cute. I tied some different random Christmas ribbons around the rings but you can do whatever you like. I didn't add many embellishments I thought this was better as far as allowing you to imagine all the things you could do with a book like this. I hope you enjoyed it!

Post-it Paper Blog Hop (Shaker Card)

Sorry for the wrong date but I couldn't figure out how else to make this go above my other sticky post!

If you came here from Carissa's Blog than you're in the right place! If not, hop on over to SweetSassyDiva for the full lineup!

This is my first shaker card (done right, second ever). I hope that you enjoy it.. it did take some time (mainly because this was m first attempt to do a shaker card correctly).

Recipe:
Doodle Charms
Create A Critter
Snowflake pattern paper
White foam
White Post-it paper
Glacier Post-it paper
Sunshine Post-it paper
Clear paper/plastic (I used the old cover from a Cricut mat)
Blue Glaze pen
Blue ink pad
Adhesive
Blue Scribbles 3d paint
Black Scribbles 3d paint
White Scribbles 3d paint
Blue glitter
White glitter
Clear/White tiny glass beads
6.5 x 5 white premade card
Instructions:
Using Doodle Charms cut out the snow globe at 4 inches using the White Post-it paper and using the Glacier Post-it paper cut out the globe using shift at 4 inches. Using Create A Critter cut out the main penguin in White Post-it paper at 2 inches and the beak and feet with the Sunshine Post-it paper at 2 inches. Take the black Scribbles 3d paint and paint the area of the penguin that should be black (you can fallow the cut lines) and the eyes. Then use the White Scribbles 3d paint to paint the area of the penguin that should be white (this gives some texture). Peel the Sunshine beak and feet and adhere to the the penguin.
With the snow globe, use the White Scribbles 3d paint to paint a little snow mound on the bottom of the inside of the white globe and also some snowflakes or dots around the globe area. Take the Glacier globe and cut out the center leaving a small outline. Place the Glacier globe on some white foam and trace the outline. Cut the white foam so that it fits under the Glacier outline without showing (making sure there there is no gaps, this must be solid to hold in your beads and glitter). Adhere the Glacier boarder to a clear sheet of plastic (I used an old Cricut Mat protective sheet) and cut off the excess. Adhere the foam outline to the plastic (making sure it does not show through the other side).

Once your Scribbles paint is dried on both your globe and penguin, peel off the backing and adhere the penguin to the middle of the globe (the white main globe). Put some beads and glitter over top of the penguin. Adhere the top of the globe (I used ATG tape since it does not have to dry and can leave a solid line of adhesive) to the white globe and its done!

Now, adhere your snowflake paper to the cover of the card and adhere the globe on top of that. Cut a small circle (I did this by hand) out of the Glacier Post-it paper and ink the edges with blue ink. Then write your sentiment on that and adhere it down to the top area and your card is done!
